It’s so dumb and I only see the constant arguments in this thread. 

 

There are literally 4-5 4th groups slaying right now and everyone is just obsessed proving their fave is #1.

 

And it only seems like they care because it’s better than XXX. 
 

The fact that this thread even tried to making some success criteria for SNSD in their 15th year just to set them up to get dragged. 
 

The obsession is unreal in this thread with success.

doesn't change the fact I'm enjoying all of them, some outputs more, some less, I care about the overall vibe - that's why aespa won't reach the top since they lack charisma but I like their concept, voices and most of their music, even girls the song is acceptable to me... but at the same time I prefere itzy as a performes, I need more from IVE to fully get into them and for some reason I cannot fully go into LSRFM although their music is good

 

you to say that NL was already bigger than anything from IVE first thing, not on the international charts and second thing they are still up and running with both ELEVEN and LD, so don't set them up for now, because no one knows how it will end

 

they don't have the deal, because Starship decided so, the interest is there as they got offers already

 

to me IVE's career trajectory is just much more impressive than aespa's and that's 8 months in... they can possibly demolish aespa with their first mini, so you're definitely too much ahead

I love the pinks but PV is not really my cup of tea and for that I won't support them less specially with an album coming 

 

Let's be real if IVE had the charting performance of GIRLS they would be dragged everywhere and would be totally counted as another mid group without arguing

 

aespa still haven't lost the war just the battle but I hope SM play their cards right because Illusion was clearly the song to go everywhere

I can only imagine the true thoughts many of these girls have for the songs their group releases.

 

I remember when Taeyeon first became a soloist one of the big dramatic comments she made was that she hated the **** out of Gee and Oh! and all their girly girl concepts. Tiffany on the other hand is such a pop ***** her music is literally the closest K-pop will ever get to Korean Madonna. The irony is that the 2 of them are bestfriends.

 

Edit: Can we talk about SNSD's longevity? Like these girls debuted when Hyein's from NewJennies' mom had her man nut inside of her  and theyre still competing with her group I mean-

 

Watch SNSDs 20th comeback anniversary and see barely any of these girls chart on Melon while SNSD remains a Top 10 force

 

Also its kinda funny how Nayeon is sharing the Top 10 with them while TWICE can barely chart, reverse Taeyeon teas.

they don't need to be "first" do do amazing or stay afloat, yet hardcore fans try to persuade this thread that they are the leading group

Kinda love the competition in 4th gen. There’s really no one that dominated like Twice and BP yet nor have touched their peaks. It’s kinda like 2nd gen as others have said. Way more groups and non big 3 ones (which is very refreshing tbh) seeing similar success at the same time.

 

Kinda feels like Kpop is repeaking. Y’all can thank RV, Twice and BP’s continuous hits and longevity for that.

This whole argument is just insufferable. ADspa haters act like they're over for good and their stans still get triggered when people say other groups are doing better than them now and X or Y might pass them overall. There is NO #1 leader that is ahead of everyone else.

Tbh LOVE DIVE is not that far from NEXT LEVEL success-wise.

 

19th week on Gaon:

LD: #4 - 22M (478M total)

NL: #3 - 19M (491M total)

 

Add to that Spotify and AM numbers and LD being actual hit in Japan and yeah some might argue it's bigger.

 

4th gen girlies are much more fun to compare than 3rd gen. The competition is tight.
