 to be fair it's actually mostly the random rappers than can't 'rap' at all like Hendery, Winwin (not sure if he is a rapper or singer) in WayV and Jeno/Jaemin in Dream

 

And the producers get frustrated too  nnn watch from 5:50 for Jaemin, it's actually crazy how vocally he's so out of it  the editor keeping those comments in was kind of funny as he literally didn't improve at all

At this point they will break the album sales records each cb. Savage was released 7 months ago and sold 600k albums love dive isn’t far away to break savage‘s record but considering the hype and the long hiatus Aespa will pull at least 800k albums I can see IVE, NMIXX or LSRF breaking the record too.

Oh well, idk what aespa will do honestly, I’m sure they’ll do well. But I can already see IVE is going places and their future is so bright. They already have an IT girl who is everywhere and the others are shining as well, they’re already booking cfs and brand deals this early on their career, they’re already smashing in Japan without an official debut, their global fanbase keeps growing and their Spotify numbers are poppin, and they are perched on top of the domestic charts. And most importantly, people are loving their music and sound and visuals so far. Honestly I’m so excited for these girls. Am I right @Somi?

Their numbers are impressive indeed! But k-pop as a whole is more global than before.

 

I think what separates IVE from a lot of the 4th gen groups is their music. They release  listenable  tracks with great melodies and hooks. Their performances are extremely intricate as well Excited to see which direction they go in next

Love the song and happy for IVE commercial success but why are Dives still touting that Apple Music Global stats when we know it's heavily influenced by Apple Music Japan Top 100? Yes, it's top 10 in many Asian countries but a quick check will reveal there are at little to none Western countries's top 100. Just say they're huge (if not the biggest) 4th gen gg in Japan/ Asia in Apple Music.

Japan is one of the biggest music markets. It’s not easy to really chart there either. Many have tried to make a Japan debut but struggled to make it big there.

SM follows this model of having 3 Main Vocalist in most of their boy groups. It made sense at first because the top three vocalists of each group were usually on par with each other, up until NCT  . As for those two groups not having a lead vocalist, In Dream’s case, outside of the main vocal line, Jisung sings the most, but he’s not a strong enough singer yet, so he can’t be lead. As for WayV, Xiaojun is the only confirmed Main Vocalist, whereas Ten’s only source for now is Yang Yang. Kun was never confirmed as a main vocal, but NCT stans have always had this weird idea that Kun is on Taeil and Doyoung’s level, so they consider him an automatic main vocal of WayV (he’s a lead vocal in NCT as a whole, so I feel like that should also be his title for WayV as well).
