wait, what Russia trip?

He, Ong Seungwu and Ha Sungwoon went to few days trip in Russia in 2019. Back then, multiple K-pop acts also held concerts in Russia: NCT, GOT7, Day6, Monsta X, so on... are we going to hold idols accountable for Russia's crimes against humanity now? Some people should keep their performative activism and outrage to themselves and stop mixing real life issues with petty K-pop fanwars. It's ugly.

----

And only deranged K-pop stans use drinking and smoking as a drag. It's not like those idols are kids. The level of K-pop fanwars is ridiculous.

Now that I think of it there aren't very many Chinese kpop idols that have debuted lately, at least female ones

Yeah but I don't see Yuqi for example getting the same hate NingNing does, and she has openly supported the CCP meanwhile NingNing hasn't (but then maybe it's cuz I-DLE isn't as big as aespa nnnnn).

Yeah Jennie and Jimin doing drugs

Yuqi’s Korean is praised for being close to native level, so they sort of turn a blind eye to some of the stuff she’s posted. But I think Koreans just have it out for SM Chinese idols…

there is a big difference between Korean idol girls wearing whatever their stylist gives them than two women who openly hang out with them and wishing him happy birthday knowing his history and how he continues to deny that he is a rapist. The  fashion industry still accepts him because he is a male in power but the girls who have the power to not befriend him and interact with him at ALL, is very much  more different than a idol wearing the clothes that their stylist has set up for them.

do you understand now?

44 minutes ago, Weeaboo said:

Yes and they never interact with him or openly support him,  I clearly said the fashion industry still supports him because he is a man in power so of course you're going to see his clothes often But CL and Jennie who are women in power interact with him and take picture trying to picture him as a good man when he is a rapist. I don't understand why its so hard for you to understand this?

If you're a man you have no say in this, but if you're a woman why are you shielding other woman who have shown they are friends with a rapist. Have  you no shame? Do you need help understanding some more?

the essay over a pic with some woman and birthday wishes before any accusations... :skull:

I don’t get the winter hate, she sounded best vocally imo she just doesn’t have the best stage presence. it’s not like the rest are THAT much better anyway. overall they did well and sm should def let them sing live more often

Okay obvious jokes are fine but literally accusing idols of doing drugs for drags is a bit :rip: Specially when there’s thousands of retweets. Like they can be brought in for investigation… even if they didn’t do anything who wants to go through that? messing with someone’s life for what… :deadbanana2:

Next Level actually sounds really good on the stage

the girls' energy and live vocals enhanced my impression a lot compared with the studio version and prerecorded vocals

:giraffe: I mean its more for CL i have said many times that I dont like the way CL is with him but if Jennie is just like CL then it will be just the same treatment.

Making fun of people with health conditions and calling them "lazy" for it, especially as a Jennie stan, is a self-drag unfortunately.

Not onces about to get Twice BANNED from making coins :deadbanana4: They were supposed to only clap but everyone was so hyped they kept screaming

The fans screamed? Or the girls screamed?

If the fans screamed, then shouldn’t they be escorted out of the stadium instead of giving a warning to Twice?  :rip:

nnn are we sure Ador is debuting in July? Have we had any news about that?

I think that report that was circulating some weeks ago around the internet said Trainee A was indeed debuting in Q3 so around Sept/Oct sounds fine but in their latest video they said they were doing their last monthly evaluation before their debut evaluation which means maybe they are debuting sometime around summer too? idk why they would be doing the debut evaluation like next month if they are not debuting until the end of the year but yeah maybe as @BigBangStan said they'll prepare for three months and end up debuting around September :coffee: @Witnessed ET

interesting. I hope they debut soon.

also to be fair aespa’s music is not exactly for coachella :michael: a group with “hype” songs like itzy would’ve been great

very fair point. They don’t have a “festival” music in the first place like BP or ITZY or even Twice. Maybe SM should have used different  ways to promote them in the west and then do a tour later in the US once they have amassed a fanbase….just like what JYP did with Twice. Look at Twice now, they’re selling out arenas all over the country in minutes and are adding shows due to popular demand. I don’t see why aespa can’t do that after some time.

Winter looks like she’s about to submit the resignation any minute now, it’s concerning and that’s for quite some time now

it feels like she thought it’d be something different but turns out she’s not really enjoying it

complete burn out energy

they were literally performing at COACHELLA, NingNing, Karina and Giselle gave all they could with their experience and then there’s Winter :katie:

yeah rushing things makes everything worse and i'm sure girls would love to do western promotions after gaining some experience :rip: this is the problem with 4th gen overall if i'm being honest

It was big chunks of the fans so ig that's why they couldn't escort them out :deadbanana4:
I'm watching the livestream for today's concert and it seems like they still are cheering, so maybe the tweet was fake news since I can't find any articles and JYPE said nothing...:ducky:

OT: Jeongyeon is singing SINGING! She somehow keeps getting better and better :jonnycat:

I don't think she's over it, she just looked nervous and who can blame her, having a first ever live audience performance on a stage as big as Coachella.

The other 3 girls have quite extrovert/outgoing personalities, whereas Winter is more the shy type, it seemed like she was just anxious/pressured. Besides, SM staff were probably screaming at them backstage not to make any mistake, so there's that too.

Giselle was the best performer surprisingly, then Ning, then Karina.....Winter served vocals and so did Ning but Giselle was the most stable to me

RIP to the girls who gave me one of my fave nugu bops last year :chick3:
