She just released a #2 debut song for a soundtrack. Enjoy the song if you like it. And if you don't then pretend it didn't happen. Wait until the superbowl to get news.

Tbh I didn’t want new music before SB anyway (LMU included) and I don’t want new music on the setlist either but she’s giving 2023 Q4/2024 Q1 in that interview

Now that the storm of her "no new music" statement has calmed inside me, I'm going to say that it's probably for the best. I mean planning the whole SB thing is really too much to do it while you're finishing an album. I don't want a rushed album just because she "has to" take advantage of her SB exposure. I would very much like a surprise drop (even tho I want physicals on the 1st week). I'm 100% sure that new music is coming in 2023!

She was referring to LMU when she said new music is coming. This interview was done before LMU was released. I am thinking, there is no new music unfortunately. As much as i WANT new music from her, i can understand that it’s no longer one of her priorities and we should just get used to it ..instead of getting our hopes up every single time. I think we as fans should wish her the best in her new life as a mum and stop being selfish, Rihanna is not a machine we use for stan wars, she is a human, we all have some center of interests that change over time. It pains me to say this but it’s the reality, let her release whenever she wants to even if it’s 2030. But atleast it won’t be forced.

She didn’t debunk anything, she said she wasn’t sure about touring, yet.
 

She was likely just being cautious and not confirming anything until things are ready to go. Had they asked her about doing the Super Bowl in like August, before she announced it, she probably would’ve talked about it the same way

She probably just doesn't want to dedicate a huge chunk of time to music and neglect her other projects at this point. 

 

I'm dreaming that she'd do all of these:

 

Feb 2023 Super Bowl

Apr 2023 Coachella

June 2023 Glastonbury

September 2023 Rock In Rio 

 

Maybe with another summer collab if she can be bothered spending 2 days in a studio. 

 

The album could come early 2024 and a stadium tour to follow in 2024. She does some award ceremonies then calls it a day. Not much promo needed at this point. 

 

Gives her the chance to keep herself active in music but not having to dedicate all her time to it.
