Before knowing about LMU we already talked about how we thought if she would or wouldn't release new music before the SB... A lot of people stated that the first performance after the hiatus should be there at the SB and that a new song wouldn't have space with all of the hits she already has. And that is what is happening... Nothing is pointing that she is not releasing new music... She said that the superbowl doesn't have anything to do with releasing new music. We wanted her focused on doing an amazing show, and rehearsing and putting the best show possible... But now that she said that... Then it's a problem. We want new music... But when it's not a #1 huge club-banger we don't want it... I mean there is no understanding anything. Of course I want new music. I want albums... But I also understand what she is saying. I mean cmon All of this!!
Rih On The Brain Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 She doesn't wanna release music but she'll happily commit herself to a SavageXFenty show every year. I'm tired of her tbh. First time I've ever found her tone in an interview to be genuinely off-putting. I really hope she's trolling us but I'm not gonna lose sleep waiting for her.

I just wanted to pop in here and say I'm sorry, I know it's a bit of a roller-coaster for you guys but hang in there. I'm hive and I rarely visit this site (only bey base during album season) but I was looking forward for new riri music. I loved Lift me up cuz I missed her voice so much. I know some other things have been tough and when I saw that interview clip I really thought of y'all. Don't worry tho. Rihanna will come out on top in the end. Lift me up is actually excellent. And between Superbowl and whatever she has planned next, it'll all be good. Look at the bright side, she isn't at a stage in her music career where she puts out music just for the sake of putting out music. She clearly now cares much more about the actual quality and making a solid album (anti was proof too). So I'd say trust her process. It doesn't matter if a song is a hit or not, what matters is rihanna's artistic journey and I know she must be feeling the immense pressure too. Well I just wanted to hop in here to spread some love. Hang in there, alls well that ends well. And riri will deliver when the time comes. Till then, I think that the Superbowl not being a musical comeback (new album) is a good thing cuz she can focus fully on the show and choosing from her incredible number of bops that I bet the world is thirsty to revisit! ? Thank you so much for this message. Appreciate your support and love. ?
zzmyth Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 After too good went 5xPlatinum and take care 6xPlatinum. Her stats are soooo insane!

zzmyth Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 BTW.... The kiis of Billboard delaying the Hot100 chart... ???? I would be sooooooo crackled up if Rih somehow is #1???
Cheers Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 Born Again apparently not scrapped. That man described it as mid-tempo but slower than Diamonds.

DonDesperado Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 New Music and SB is not related. Its what she said. Maybe after the SB. She should release to get the boost of the SB.
IsidoraMarí Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 The Meltdowns over no album The Meltdowns over the Hot 100 "data review" The Meltdowns over Depp What a Time to be Alive, I'm completely content with two songs. If LMU goes number one first week and it's literally a funeral lullaby I'll start ordering Fenty Beauty again.
Homebrand Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 Honestly it’s very perplexing to me if there is no intention to release an album next year. I was certain we would likely get the lead single a few weeks before the SB with the album shortly after. Usually I take her comments with a grain of salt but her facial expressions, tone and demeanour was very off in that interview. There really is no intention (or desire) to put any priority to her music career.
Last Boy on Earth Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 She’s so uncool and off putting now. That interview
IsidoraMarí Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 Rihanna is a deity. Idc if she never releases an album again and just gives us 2 songs every 5 years. The discography is immense already, anything more is overkill. I'm so proud of her and I'd prefer the LOUD stans to leave the fanbase rather than pretend to be Navy. Go stan Doja Cat or Ariana.

collin Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 I need to know what the plan is with the other song because…
Digitalism Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 I find it hard to understand what is most of the navy is thinking Rih keeps on working like always had Her releases were always a mess. She never debuted big Why would she change now ?

rta1913 Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 I'd much prefer the Super Bowl to be her old and certified CLASSICS than some new song we may all forget in a couple of years. As proof, the weakest points of the shows of Gaga, Madonna, JT and Coldplay was when they performed a new song that does not handle a candle to their much bigger songs. I mean sure, a proper R9 lead could become another one of her classics but what if it doesn't? IF there is a musical come back happening... the perfect setup scenario would be, announce a tour after the Super Bowl, the hype alone would sell it out. Release the album before the tour and that's it, you have a hit era. As for LMU / the soundtrack, I am not sure what they were aiming for. I love the song, but it is not hit material. Even with some of her other ballads or more unconventional songs (like FFS) you could tell they could be big, but this was not going to go anywhere. It is a beautiful song and hopefully it can get them at least an Oscar nom though.

All of her singles climbed up the charts slowly and her albums took a lot of time to sell after she had multiple hits.
rp662 Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 The movie opens in some markets on Wednesday. Are we really expecting big gains?

Top 5/10 peaks in almost every major market. The song is performing better than Anti-Hero in places like France. Who else could bring a song like this that high in so many places? I think she’s more than fine but of course people were waiting to drag.

getBusy Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 How’s everyone feeling about this? I’m going to scream so loud if she gets that #1! I’m not really expecting it tho.
Maxxie Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 If there is no new music in early 2023... She will lose a lot of fans.
bad guy Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 What even is the point of doing the SB with no new music? And miss me with that "she just wants it perfect" BS. This lady has scrapped at least 4 different albums at this point. She has plenty of material she's just incredibly lazy when it comes to rolling out an era and doesn't have the drive. A SB of just her greatest hits sounds like a farewell performance to me but whatever. Good luck to her
