Yes that’s what I thought too. But I don’t know if maybe we misunderstood bc I spoke with BOZ in another thread and he said it wasn’t on the album :dancehall2:

I- :rip: The way literally nothing can ever go right for her :deadbanana4:

I’m not discrediting WJ at all but Ive never known BOZ to be wrong. He gets access to full projects long before release. Several months in some cases.

Was going to say the same thing.

Yeah, BOZ has an extremely long track record of accuracy on this forum. He only ever speaks up when something is basically 100% confirmed. If he says she's not on the album, I'm assuming she's not on the album until I see otherwise :skull:

EDIT: Although I will say that if she's not on the album, then it's kind of weird she's been liking so many social media posts about the album? I guess she's just generally supporting a friend/collaborator, but she's usually pretty intentional with that kind of stuff. I wonder if her not being on the album was a last minute decision.

Is CP coming July 8th? :eli:@WheresJay

I feel like it's another If It Ain't Me Situation. We all know Wild Side was supposed to come in like March/April but was delayed cause of Cardi's inclusion. Her label removed her from The Moonlight Edition (which released Feb 11) to reduce the chance of her competing with herself (:ahh:

They want to launch Candy Paint with no competition from other releases of hers lol... like the Calvin release. Foolish cause he literally dropped a snippet of it already. They're so dumb.

I wonder how the fandom/base is gonna react when we finally get the album.

This can't be real? No way would they be that ridiculous to remove her from a Calvin Harris album to stop her competing with herself, when she just had a collaboration with her friend 2 weeks ago, that would truly make no sense. WTF is going on behind the scenes, lord it must be an absolute mess for her having to deal with this ****.

Wait he said the Normani collab ain’t on the album? Now wtf?? why would she then tease the collab always in the comments

If she's not on that damn album, I'll go ahead and say her career is over. I'm so done

I also honestly believe that B coming made them change plans for whatever reason

I could’ve been wrong about the Calvin release! The song itself doesn’t really fit the theme of Calvin’s record also. We’ll see where it lands. I don’t know everything, I just know it exists lol

I don’t think it’s that deep considering we thought it would flop anyways, I’m more so upset because it could’ve been another record (and more exposure) under her belt. I’m kinda over the commercial aspect of her career anyway, the way things are moving is just so annoying and weird. I know it’s not always her fault, but everything either gets delayed or scrapped these days and it’s very tired

See the problem for me is it's hard to be over the commercial aspect of her career when her team clearly still cares so much about it that they're too scared to release anything :rip: I'd be able to let go of the dream of her being the strong mainstream powerhouse that we all thought she had the potential to become, if that meant her team was like "screw it, she's not going to smash, let's just drop the music and let her carve out a niche for herself." But right now an album exists that by all accounts has basically been 100% ready to be released for months, but isn't being released presumably because RCA is scared of it flopping :toofunny2:

A truly hellish loop. If she doesn't release, she can't be commercially successful, but without the commercial success, she won't release. Serving "how are you supposed to get job experience if every job application requires experience" :deadbanana2:

What a terribly accurate analogy :rip:

this is why I always wished she just worked with whoever instead of the top producers and biggest names in the industry for her DEBUT album. With that terrible “she’s the next…” narrative that followed her around. She was set up to fail. The label wants a mega return on that investment and now she’s in limbo

BOZ said the snippet Calvin teased with her on it is not for FWV2, but for another project. So it's still coming.

Y'all had me thinking it was scrapped or something :biblio: It does sound very house/dance & not so much funk like the album’s sonical theme should be, so we should’ve known lmao.

I do blame Calvin for jumping the gun & posting it during the whole height of his album teasing though + Norms for not speaking up when people started speculating she was on it :skull:

Or maybe that was the original plan but they agreed it doesn’t fit the funk vibe & makes more sense on another project

If she isn’t on the Calvin album then she has little to nothing going for her musically anymore. It’s sad. She isn’t anywhere near competing with Beyoncé we know that but a lot of that crowd who’d be looking for Normani to serve will already be getting fed meanwhile with each delay it depresses the reception she gets. Wild Side was a visual masterpiece but it made a lot less buzz online than Motivation ever did because the wow factor/she’s arrived novelty was over. And now it’s truly done with so even if she comes back with a stunning visual for Candy Paint I don’t believe it will be doing much to be quite frank. And we had Cardi’s assistance with WS and she was the only one doing any promo effectively. You can only miss so many chances

No I think candy paint is gonna perform good. It just needs to be shortly followed up by an album. The buzz has literally never disappeared it's incredible how little she does and how much people talk about her. I already know the visual for candy paint is gonna be outta this world. That's enough to get more ppl interested in her.

Plus everything she does goes viral. A couple more performances and she's off to the races. The thing that's been lacking in her career lately the most has been live performances. We barely get any of those.

What do you mean the thing that's been lacking is live performances when literally everything else is lacking in her career? :deadbanana2: No music, no promo, no performances, no interaction with fans, no album, there's really nothing in her career going on
