If you want to know what I'm thinking, it does seem to me that Dominique from her own company Dunn Proper Inc (formerly of Roc Nation) is with Normani on a more day-to-day basis than anyone from S10. We used to see Jay everywhere with Normani, now its Domique 

 

 

No Brandon in Cabo (of course) and perhaps more tellingly, no Jay as far as I can see ?. Shes still surrounded by Sloppy10 connections obvisouly (its interesting that she'd go back to Harv and Felisha after Fair was such a nonevent commercially..then again so was Waves but its producer later helped with a top 15 hit in Wild Side). At any rate, it looks like Domonique could be playing more of an active and hands on role in Normani's career? 

 

Im just desperate for her to improve her team in any way because I know that without some industry brains in her corner her music career will continue to be spotty. It doesnt matter how talented she is or what her music sounds like. A disorganized unfocused team can only produce mediocre results. In the music business you are only as good as your team.  

Well, Dominque is like an A&R type expert, so setting up a song writing/creating camp would be her specialty. Avex sending Jimmy there is the closest thing to a S10 rep. S10 (or Jay specifically) doesn’t necessarily have to be there since Brandon trusts Domo (and has been involving her in their process since Fair) and S10 itself is partnered with Avex. 

 

Basically, what I’m saying is, the main players here from Fair have not changed. It’s all the same crew, no change ups in her team to our knowledge.

Also, while I was typing this post, I realize Brandon JUST flew to them in Cabo LOL. Ryan Tedder is somehow now apart of the Normani sessions. Additionally, Brandon confirmed this is all with Avex and S10 publishing. All the tea is on his IG story.

 

I wonder if Normani’s album has been half or mostly scrapped but now the label wants the album done shortly after these sessions (there’s another coming up allegedly in a week or two).

Yeah, that’s the part I’m wondering about. It doesn’t feel like they’re in any hurry for the album to be done if they’ve taken this LONG to finally do the camp sessions. Why not set them up last May when it was clear Fair wasn’t gonna do ****? Why wait until now?

This guy is saying “see you guys again in a week or two” meaning, there will be *another* session. Typically with these song writing/making camps, it’s a one-off. Just within the Normani world, she did one of these in NoLa back in 2018 and one of those sessions created Bounce Back which ended up with Little Mix.

 

The fact they’re planning another, potentially 9 to 10 days camp, so quickly back to back, makes me think they need the next set of tracks done, and ready to go right into the album. No looking back on them or selling to another artist.

When I say “hurry”, that doesn’t mean the album is coming out this year. It just means, they need these sessions to produce some clear winners for the album. From there, who knows what will happen, but it’s weird to have back to back camps like this. Even THE Beyonce only did one for her self titled album.

This isn't a confirmation that this is the case but it seems that while she waits her turn with RCA, she's just doing her job as an artist and still creating and making money. Isn't there also someone from a K-pop band there as well? She's definitely not the focus.

I’m going to say Jay is right but this is potentially for some of the songs. She will keep a song (or multiple) if the right thing come along.

 

Dominique being there is the key, she has no reason to be there since her new company literally has no business there and it didn’t get tagged in any of the pics. It’s clear she’s there to be apart of the Normani storyline.

 

Additionally, Normani took 2 of her friends there with her. If this was really just a “contractual obligation”, Normani and her people are doing a bit too much as though it’s all (or mostly) for her. Usually, an artist will go to an international song writing camp with one person/guest, maybe their manager, and that’s it. Not a whole entourage and supporting cast.
