I actually don't understand how a) it's still up and b) why fans believe it. All it takes is a quick scroll to see how essentially everything never happens. The stuff that does is already known info from other inside sources on the forums or amongst the fandoms.

Unfortunately, she can not book an AMA performance right now. It's like the same thing every award show. Her team can barely book her the VMAs on cable tv once every two years and that's the only show that has her In her 5-year solo career she has never booked BET AWARDS BBMAs (without Kahlid) Soul Train Awards Grammys PCAs or any other award show. So she definitely won't be able to book ABC's AMAs. And with an un unknown song no less. LMAo. It's so unrealistic. I don't know why fans even bother to set her up with fantasy bookings every few months at award shows that have completely ignored her for the past 5 years. Edited August 30, 2022 by cliche_display
cliche_display Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 Crisis averted (is one of you in here her?) I hope it's not that wilsidenormani person. )

popularmoonlight Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 She’s at a writing camp. They def sent her back to the studio - hopefully to try getting some bops. FTN claims Candy Paint is still being expected this year, but no album in sight. Last time I saw someone having a writing camp in Mexico, their album came weeks later. However, we know that won’t happen to Normani.
Crank_It_Up Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 A part of me is not sure how to feel about Normani doing a writing camp this late, this shows me how RCA doesn’t have confidence in how the finished album sounds which is slightly concerning. If anything, she should’ve been forced to do the camp right when Fair flat out flopped in its first week. But the good thing is this shows me that there is still a sort of investment in the album. I just hope that it doesn’t take too long for the album to come out. It has to come out this year.

My natural next thought would be that RCA wants more uptempos, so she should be in the studio with Tommy Brown (which was was a few months back), Mike Will, Max Martin, Stargate, Danja, Darkchild, Timbaland, the producers under Dr.Puke, Savan & the Motivation production gang, Hit Maka, etc. Like why would they double down on the Fair people and even bring in a Renaissance producer? She does not necessarily an Alien Superstar-type song right now. We should still be in the urban-pop area. Either way, I’m guessing it really is a situation where the album just didn’t sound good enough to RCA and now they’re finally taking the wheel and controlling more of what happens (and trusting Domo to put the project together hence why she’s been attached at the hip to Normani). Normani seems tuned out of what’s going on in that one IG story, she probably is annoyed with the delays finally (since even she thought her album was ready to go). Edited August 30, 2022 by Flare

I am going to assume that she's there because she can help them find a "groove" and find places to insert catchy, earworm melodies? I mean, she worked on Alien Superstar, Plastic Off the Sofa, Virgo's Groove, and Summer Renaissance. While they all are not exactly thumping uptempos, they aren't ballads - they're midtempos, and most importantly, they have a HIGH boppability quality to them. Fair has nothing going about it that'd make the GP bop along to it. But then again, maybe RCA directed them all to do uptempos and they're going to try their hands at it? Or maybe the uptempos on the album are what is solid, and it's the ballads that suck? I mean, if there's more tracks like Fair on the album, I'd definitely tell Normani to continue working to make better ballads, but that's just me personally.

The Fair folks are connected to S10/Roc Nation/AVEX obviously and it’s possible that they’re helping with funding this trip and these new sessions? She didn’t look tuned out in other clips tbh lol: https://www.instagram.com/p/Ch5TkuFpiNm/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

Maybe S10/Avex is funding this song-making trip (and they can write it off in taxes btw). Brandon did not abandon Normani, he’s helping from afar. No matter what’s happening, the fact Normani is still being invested in shows somebody out there, behind the scenes believes in her. All is not lost, album and the rollout will eat, someday! Topaz Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 OH she writing with the Cherish girls twins. Hopefully they can give her a real ballad like theirs and not Fair.
AFullMoonlight Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 It’s the way y’all flip flop with the theories in this thread. A week or two ago she was getting dropped and RCA had no plans on releasing her album. Her career was over. A day ago she was broke for selling her house and was pregnant. Now RCA is invested in her career again and the album is coming to eat. I swear there is never a dull moment. And here y’all go again with the Fair dragging. The fumes there will be when the album is primarily midtempos.

cliche_display Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 (edited) On a positive note, I don't see anyone from S10 there. ETA: Never mind. It's tagged in the studio pic. AKA Nothing will come out in a timely fashion. 2023's yearly single rollout will be heavily botched as always. The 1.5 performances will have sound difficulties. Any wardrobe will be arranged last minute. And everything will continue in the same mind blowingly incompetent plane. Jesus wept. Edited August 31, 2022 by cliche_display
Camilitau.u Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 Normani needs to release Whiskey!!! Songs like that are the reason why it’s hard to give up on somebody with so much talented they deleted the snippet but if anyone has it! It’s really good

Okay but this is more entertaining than the 10 page argument right before base died @cliche_display Jimmy something is from Apex, they’re at the Apex Beach House. Apex is S10’s partner in publishing so he’s the “S10” representation. They do publishing for Harv too.
Aaliyah Kylie Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 i really hope we get a single by september.. at this point drop something woman. christ.
Motivation93 Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 I wouldn’t think the album is being like fully reworked because would RCA really intervene after the flop page of one song? Clearly she showed midtempo r&b can work with wild side

I saw her friend post at Avex Beach House 2 days ago so I figured she was with Normani working. You answered my unspoken question of whether the Asian guy sitting next to Choie at the dinner was (@wheresjay whoops) I mean Jay from S10. So that is Jimmy. He's an A&R with Avex. He himself doesn't represent S10, although his Japanese-based co. has grown their presence in the US by striking a Sony Music Publishing partnership and sidenote: a publishing deal with S10. Since we all know producer Harv is in a deal with S10's publishing "arm" (which really just leaches off Avex's capabilities so that Brandon can eat song ownership pies on top of his management commision) and as far as we know Normani is still managed by S10 so there goes your tag (Harv, Avex partnership, Normani) If you want to know what I'm thinking, it does seem to me that Dominique from her own company Dunn Proper Inc (formerly of Roc Nation) is with Normani on a more day-to-day basis than anyone from S10. We used to see Jay everywhere with Normani, now its Domique No Brandon in Cabo (of course) and perhaps more tellingly, no Jay as far as I can see ?. Shes still surrounded by Sloppy10 connections obvisouly (its interesting that she'd go back to Harv and Felisha after Fair was such a nonevent commercially..then again so was Waves but its producer later helped with a top 15 hit in Wild Side). At any rate, it looks like Domonique could be playing more of an active and hands on role in Normani's career? Im just desperate for her to improve her team in any way because I know that without some industry brains in her corner her music career will continue to be spotty. It doesnt matter how talented she is or what her music sounds like. A disorganized unfocused team can only produce mediocre results. In the music business you are only as good as your team.
