So did Drake scrap Nicki on his album, give her a scrap for her album, and then not show her love or support today?

why is he like this

I'm OBSESSED with the second verse on FTCU

Is anyone genuinely shocked/very confused how polarizing this album is. I know a majority of these people probably don’t like her/music anyways but they’re acting like she released the worst album of all time. The most annoying comments are the ones that say it doesn’t sound like PF. Explain to me what Pink Friday sounds like, and then explain in detail how this doesn’t capture the essence of pop rap singing rnb :psyduck: (keep in mind PF is doo doo anyways and this is leagues beyond)

main people i see disliking PF2 are:

  • misogynistic haters.
  • stans of Cardi, Meg, Latto, etc.
  • pop gays wanting early 2010s electro-pop sound in 2023. :rip:
  • YT ppl unconsciously wanting a Black (Rap/R&B) artists to appeal to they demographic (e.g. dragging Wayne collab but wanna David Guetta collab? :rip:)

outside that the album is good and i can see tik tok picking up some track + certain songs blowing up summer 2024.

Over him.

LMCD deserves the attention Needle is getting. And J Cole posted a beautiful message in support.

N E way.
Is everyone like me today & realising this is her best album?

Everything is hitting.
Everything. Now that any preconceived expectations & notions are eliminated - She really did that & she didn’t lie.

It’s overtaken PF & Queen for me.

Roman isn’t taking her calls right now because of this tbh. Canadian Doll is giving Oppiana.

To be fair, the pop hooks on Pink Friday are so classic, its inevitable people will try to find something similar on Pink Friday 2 and then feel that it doesn't match up. Pink Friday was labelled a hip hop album but the standout singles all had a good pop hook (Super Bass, M4L, Your Love, Right Thru Me, Fly). And Nicki sounded ferocious and hungry on the first 3 tracks on Pink Friday and ofc, Roman was going toe to toe with Eminem on Roman's Revenge. And the features on Pink Friday were iconic. Pink Friday 2 doesn't have Roman on it (yet), the pop hooks don't immediately stick and the features are underwhelming. But I do hate that people are trying to compare the 2 when her sound has clearly evolved and the music climate has also changed - people are no longer gravitating to pop hooks. We all know MTS and Latto also tried it with the pop route and completely fell flat. I'm sure this album will struggle w/ stability on the charts but the fans really shouldn't care less because I can see many of these songs becoming huge Barb anthems on tour (like Big Difference, RRDS, Bahm Bahm, Everybody etc.). Plus people may hate that many of the songs have heavy sampling but I think its genius and its very on brand for Nicki.

The bald uglees on here (Fink Cokeney comes to mind) were always going to hate this album because they came with that negative energy. Half of them don’t even stan nicki like that and they’re pretending like they’re all suddenly experts on how a pink friday album should sound like. It hurts my head, truly.
