What do you guys think of Lana's single choices. I came to think about it, the singles in BTD, Honeymoon and NFR! are my favorite songs in the albums. As for UV it depends on my mood.

Good, maybe add Radio somewhere as a single.

UV

Honeymoon

HBTB > Freak > Art Deco...pretty much just like how they appear on the tracklisting

LFL

Love > LFL > Cherry > Summer Bummer > Get Free

NFR!

Good

Chemtrails

White Dress > Chemtrails > Dark But Just a Game

BB

BB > Thunder > IYLDWM

Ocean Blvd

Ocean Blvd > A&W > LTLI > Peppers > Margaret

Loved Radio but for some reason  I am completely not into it nowadays, not in a way that I think it's a bad song but I am just not interested. Maybe it will come back someday.

I'd remove Dark Paradise as single, it is a good song but not on par with other singles. Also giving that it is the main dark and grieving song many of us were expecting it to be a top tier track but I kinda think of it as more of class B. Good but not exceptional.

My favorite track of Chemtrails is Yosemite, if I recall the streams on that track were not good at all.

As for Ocean, "Paris, Texas" not being a single is a crime but who knows how the GP would react to it. :michael:

Dark Paradise is kinda mid but for some reason it was a gp favorite back when BTD first came out. I remember it had a lot of Youtube views for an album track. Radio was always a standout to me so I'm not surprised it went viral eventually. Yosemite is good but her fanbase hyped that track up so much, only to forget about it once they officially released it. They still do it for songs like Roses Bloom for You...which is not that spectacular either tbh. Paris, Texas would work really well if it were used in the right movie...idk why she doesn't license her music for film soundtracks more often.

Dark Paradise is also lyrically weak. Everytime I close my eyes it's dark paradise. My friends tell me to move on. I'd die without you. No metaphorical deep lines at all. When I am depressed from the BTD I prefer the title track or Ride.

I've kinda grown from being a BTD-centric stan and view her recent work just as important as her first album.  The production there is a bit loud and overdone and sometimes I really need her recent work more. They are both outstanding parts of her discography none of which should neglicated.

I am glad Say Yes To Heaven got recognition unlike Yosemite (unfortunately).

LTLI is like the perfect bridge to the country album now that I think about it...Olivia, Madison, Halsey all stanning it earlier tells me it's a real hit. Istg don't let this one go to waste Elizabeth...

Also not 1 but 2 album track viral hits off the album...who else ?

It got added to like 3 more big playlists this week...not Interscope actually doing something for once. I wonder if they think it's worth a shot at sending to radio. Even if the new music is coming soon, it's a good teaser for what's to come.

Her being at the two most-watched events back-to-back is very unexpected

I've been bashing Taylor for being hyper overrated but it really made me see her on a good light because how of supportive she is to Lana.

I just hope that whatever Lasso is, she has made an album with all killer - no filler vibe

Take Me Home, Country Roads already outstreamed several Ocean Blvd songs and has been really stable, which is a good sign!

Citing pioneers like Big Mama Thornton and Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Bridgers expands on her statement. “Women have been making rock music since there’s been rock music. There’s so much ******* erasure especially with the Grammys,” she says. “Lana [Del Rey] should have won a long time ago. Mitski should be acknowledged in any ******* way. There’s countless people. For [Portnow] to say that women aren’t working hard enough to get these awards is the stupidest **** ever. I was like, why not say it here where everybody knows who this guy is?”

I think the other two girls in boygenius are Lana stans (Lucy performed with her on the NFR! tour), so it's nice to see she is as well and she knows the tea on the Grammys. I can see Mitski winning big in next year's alt categories.

Body Electric is atrocious.  :deadbanana2:

Maybe it'd be a bit better if she remove the opening line about Elvis, Jesus and Marilyn.

That jazz cover is kinda pointless. Sounds more like an idea than an actual song

Her vocals sound beautiful in it though. I can't remember the last time I heard her sing something with this much energy and without heavy backing vocals.
