I hope you are right because a lot of BO "experts" think it will be mid to high $40M.

what's their rate at correctly predicting BO numbers. Have they always been right before? :suburban:

Yeah I follow box office numbers myself and again, unless some miracle happens this week that sparks interest in the movie, or the walk-ups during the weekend are crazy good, the ceiling is $60M, but $45-55M are the most realistic figures as of today. This would lead to $130-160M total domestic box office at the end of its run, -50/60% vs. the first Joker.

WW without the US the first movie did +$700M. If it follows the same pattern as the domestic box office, we're looking at around $320-350M, so, hopefully it reaches $500M and breaks even.

It's all his fault tbh, he and Joaquin and those weekends editing meetings.

It's quite trustworthy. Lots of data to compare too and apply corrections depending on type of movie and biases. Though numbers can fluctuate in the last week if presales increase due to virality, promo etc.

Mouse Labs has become Godga's moneyprinting machine, she hasn't done any campy crossover promotions since the rebrand because they usually tank and hurt the overall business. I don't think they're ever gonna crosspromote Gaga's other projects (except the BTW Foundation) ever again.

Whoever she hired for the rebrand is a business genius, Haus Labs went from bargain bin Amazon fodder in plastic containers shaped like diamonds to being an actual player on the high-end beauty market that is known for very high quality products :rip: They literally cannot keep up with the demand for their best-selling products anymore, literally suffering from success.

Regarding DWAS potentially going #1 during next week's tracking.

  • Radio: not sure it's growing enough to generate enough points
  • Streaming: Doing fine, but would need a boost in order to compensate for radio. If they don't release the recorded performance in Vegas they have 0 braincells. That would count as new streams and even potentially boost Spotify / AM numbers.
  • Sales: Again, vinlys won't be enough to compensate for the lack of radio, so they need to boost streaming numbers
