That was the last day before the rolling effect, right? :dancehall:

An album roll out? Literally didn't let us know about the song until 3 days before release and have only done 3 performances at random concerts of it and 1 of those was locked down because of yondr phone pouches.

Can't read it (subscriber-only article) but someone from Interscope got interviewed regarding DWAS strategy :bird:

The global strategy is nice but where's the LOCAL STRATEGY TO GET IT TO #1 INTERFAD

Well they didn't lie. A classic Interscope album rollout. Barely any promo, low playlisting, etc.

If you copy/paste the Billboard article url into this site: https://12ft.io it'll take the paywall down (I would copy-paste the unpaywalled url myself but it doesn't actually link to anything). But the article itself doesn't really say much of anything tbh, it's just namedropping Gaga, Bruno, the higher-ups at Interscope and Atlantic, and talking about nebulous corporate bullshit without saying any actual concrete strategy :rip:

The playlisting on so many Hot Hits playlists is downright tragic :rip: We're lucky the public is finding it on their own since it's connecting.

It'll be like #10 on the country chart, and #50 on the HH playlist. :deadbanana: It has me very worried about LG7 lead promotion.

(And it's not just Spotify.. It's also already begun sliding down the Apple Music playlists despite being #1 globally for weeks.)

Thank God we can count on Gaga's talent to back their missteps up.

We can't afford a Weeknd situation. We need THE strongest song as the lead, Miss Gaga!

It seems like radio is picking up again though, which is great. The unfortunate side is that it's going so slowly that it won't even be close to a radio peak by the time LG7 lead drops.

Those ageist big stations better not use DWAS as an excuse to ignore it. They have no problem spamming other artists with multiple songs.

On the other hand, songs nowadays tend to be bigger when the artist has another hit at the same time. DWAS smashing simultaneously may give LG7 lead legs! :duca:
