Not that much because DWAS is currently outstreaming the #1 song on that playlist :ryan3:

Taste was number two on TTH last week. Being number one or two do not have much that effect.

I need this to be her 6th #1 :deadbanana:

true but its still annoying like... its literally a #1 song :rip:

Bad Romance, Telephone & Paparazzi were all robbed because she never cared like Katy and her team that did all they can for all TD singles to reach #1 (99c discounts, remixes, massive payola etc)

Looking back, Intercourse never really went all out payola'ing Gaga on the radio since the beginning e̶x̶c̶e̶p̶t̶ B̶T̶W̶. Telephone spent multiple (?) weeks at #1 on the digital charts and could've been #1 but the radio AI was too low iirc

It's because of the hype. I would say its streams were frontloaded.

exactly, gaga and her team never really cared about her songs going #1 cause they were all basically #1s anyways because of how huge and impactful they were at that time

gaga and her team were too focused on building her fanbase, monsterball tour & thinking of iconic outfits and performances, music videos than reachjng #1

but Bad Romance, Telephone & Paparazzi not going #1 are Gaga's biggest mistakes. these 3 songs are part of her iconic and legendary hits and just needed tiny lil boost to reach #1 but oh well

atleast she can still score #1s 16 years later

Even if they had just discounted Bad Romance on iTunes the week it was closest in points to the #1 it would've gotten there :rip: of course, YouTube didn't count for the charts back then as well, I think it would've greatly benefited her if it had.

I'd argue that #2 position on TTH is better than #1 because there's a chance of free streams after the people stream the #1 song.

They could have done both at the same time tho.... Gaga has too many #1s that got away.

iirc, the metrics did not align well for Paparazzi. Digital sales and radio did not peak at the same time. Telephone video released a bit late as well.

these multiple sabrina tracks smashing at the same time actually work in dwas favor. it causes splits, both in streams and radios.

yup but still, katy & rihanna were playing the game with the payola, discounts and remixes. all their songs went #1 because of that

gaga never played that game. and its just annoying up to this day because again Bad Romance, Telephone & Paparazzi were basically #1 songs because of how huge and impactful they were. but oh well!

that's why I want DWAS to reach #1 to make up for BR, Telephone & Paparazzi :eli:

Gaga moved too fast from The Fame to The Fame Monster. Bad Romance being released way too early killed Paparazzi's run. Had she waited a couple more weeks, Paparazzi and Bad Romance could've easily been #1s.

what are the predictions on bb hot 100 for DWAS? anybody knows?

NOPE. DWAS was outstreaming most of the Top 10 of TTH without even being on the playlist before it was added :rip:

It already did like close to 8 million streams daily with significantly less playlist reach than all of the other songs in the Top 10 a week and a half ago. This is an actual case of an organic smash with genuine public interest, if anything the playlist reach will work against the song in the long run because people are gonna feel like it's being shoved down their throats after the genuine interest has weakened over the course of its chart run in the future. But that ultimately comes along with getting a smash hit, some people WILL get tired of it and they're gonna be vocal about it.  :rip:

If Ga Ga didn't care about #1s during her heyday, why should you?

I couldnt give a less f ck about it tbh.

Lady Gaga released new song since 2020 and 2022 for the first time.

And it will rightfully shoved down their throats because its a #1 smash and its barely been 15 days since the song out.

like, what kind of fvckass label would not do everything they can to make these go #1?

They moved on quickly because Interscope was planning on killing off Paparazzi as a single anyway. They made her shoot a video for Boys Boys Boys (which is still unleaked) and were pushing it for a single release, so in hindsight I'm glad Paparazzi got overshadowed by something as legendary as Bad Romance and not have the label pull the plug on it to push a catastrophic single choice.

If a song is a hit it'll be one. Stans make up imaginary disadvantages when it suits them. Trying to explain this to PopGa stans tho :toofunny2:
