Brat is one of the most talked about albums of the year and this collab is sooo major. charli is bound to be nominated for something, probably not AOTY or SOTY but a cute little pop duo win. DWAS can have soty. It's one of my fave releases this year but be serious it charted for like 2 weeks on global spotify at most meanwhile DWAS is smashing like crazy I think the grammys are still too conservative to majorly award anything brat related
SweetOreosOfHeaven Posted August 28 Posted August 28 DWAS is definitely the frontrunner for BPDP by a mile I'll he shocked if it doesnt get it 1

The grammys usually suck, but I would be surprised if they don't nominate brat for anything this year. Pop duo is a somewhat safe category for them to acknowledge it without it interfering with their regularly scheduled programming. Edited August 28 by RatGod
hausofbryan Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Bruno posting fan art etc still and Gaga is SILENT Gworl get to work he can't do it by himself 2 1

I'm hoping that it doesn't play out like the 2019 BAFTAs/Grammys situation, but she ended up winning something at both ceremonies. Which actually reminds me: this will actually be the third awards season where we've paid attention to acting and Grammy awards simultaneously. And in both the first two, Gaga won at least one Grammy and one noteworthy acting award (CC for ASIB and NYFCC for HOG) 1

DWAS can have soty. So major that it charted two weeks in US? Almost DOA in the rest of world? Even ignoring its commercial performance, what's so special performance wise about this song that it deserves a performance award? Most songs nominated in this category are smash hits except legacy acts such as Tony and ABBA. Brat could have its moment in POP album potentially, I don't think this song has much chance in this category. 1 1

I love her but imagine how tired we are. 4 minutes ago, Devin said: i dont see brat winning in the big 4. its too gay. And this is why I think this is Gaga's time. I don't see LG7 winning SOTY or ROTY.
brooks Posted August 28 Posted August 28 the summer is ending soon. we should stop pretending that brat is happening at the grammys. die with a smile is a powerful ballad released by two respected artists with a incredible tracking of wins. pop/duo is locked. billie is the only threat left in the general field but this time gaga will be peaking at the right moment. so roty seems possible as well. 1

RatGod Posted August 28 Posted August 28 let's also not get brave and act like they're not gonna hand taylor swift every major category bc it brings them views.

As I have pointed out, this category fills with commercially smash hits or legacy acts in between, that's just the truth. Me saying it has to be successful to get recognized in this category is very much based on that where your argument is based on ''yeah but it's culturally impactful so it's very likely to win''.

Devin Posted August 28 Posted August 28 reminder some of the biggest classics in history didn't chart in the top 20 lol. 2

WildAmerican Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Any Wikipiddos here? We need a PR win for DWAS and get that it received "critical acclaim" on there
Aston Martin Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Even though it won't show until tomorrow's update, DWAS is (most likely) sitting pretty at 100 million streams right now 4
