frankvert Posted February 22 Posted February 22 I don’t see the problem with a 3 month wait between the single & album. If the lead comes out on March 1st, why does it matter if the album comes out in June? March 1st: Lead single & MV May 24th: 2nd single & MV May 31st: Promo single & visualizer June 7th: Album release & another MV for a strong track Everything else will be carried by the GP and JFAD promo campaign, and will be at the mercy of streaming / social media audiences to go viral. So might as well elongate the era prior to release, before inevitably getting cut off. 3

WildAmerican Posted February 22 Posted February 22 the budget news is half exciting, half nerve-wracking. Exciting bc I know they will use it well and it will be a spectacle but nervous, bc it basically has to do like $500m to break even and $1bn will be seen as the real success marker... 3
hausofdave Posted February 22 Posted February 22 The insane budget makes me think Todd is going full on anti-Batman with this one, with Joker escaping the Asylum and going on a crime spree or anarchist uprising across the city with Harley. That's the only way I can assume they're spending so much b/c even w all the salary splits

Leptine Posted February 22 Posted February 22 2 hours ago, Almodusa said: Not Grace saying Gaga embarassed herself on ASIB campaign and that $12m is too much (but wouldn't go below $10m because she's such a star). And that $200 is way too much, and why not stay at $60m like last time Not gonna lie, I'm tired already of her pointless-switching takes about this movie and Gaga in general. 2

It's literally the same cachet Margot Robbie got for 'Barbie', with the difference Gaga is at her third movie, which it's huge, movies cachets are different (assuming those American Idol numbers are truly accurate).
Bamboo Posted February 22 Posted February 22 We are in prime studio posting hours …she’s not gonna post but it’s fun to dream

She was also sure Barbie would be too divisive and doesn’t like when any character dies. She’s extremely risk averse like a lot of Hollywood execs.

Chaos Angel Posted February 22 Posted February 22 The way 2011, 2013, 2016, 2020, & 2024 have been the busiest years for pop and Gaga has/will release during all 2018 with ASIB was really the only time she's released with not too much competition

Happylittlepunk Posted February 22 Posted February 22 (edited) Gaga campiness is what makes her stand out she wouldn’t be The lady Gaga without her campiness atrl and other stupid trolls can hate all they want. But it’s that campiness what got her on people radar in the first place. The trolls can keep camping at there dead fanbase threads. Meanwhile we monsters truly are the most interesting, fun and most active fanbase on site. Edited February 22 by Happylittlepunk 2
