This is exactly what I'm thinking, I don't think there should be any problem if both announce on the same day, the people who follow Beyonce will see her announcement, the people who follow Gaga will see her announcement, and the people who follow both will see both  is not like the Media is only allowed to report about one of them

I'm more shocked she doesn't have a residence outside the country at this point in her career (That we know of)

I'm thinking if they want to avoid this week because of the fires, and then next because of Beyoncé (I'm maybe a bit gullible about this, but I always assume the industry knows who's releasing when, as to avoid big artists releasing at the same time. Therefore if there's industry buzz about Act III coming soon, they might surmise that's what she's announcing next week) and then the week after that because of the inauguration, I'm maybe starting to wonder if what mindtrappa was saying about how her team might bomb-drop the album a la Harlequin could have some substance to it. Throw everything into building up hype the week prior and drop it all at once, let an up to date single rear itself based on reception.

 

It's not what I would like, but if things went the way I would have liked, we still wouldn't be none the wiser about album info either.

I'm tired of the narrative that Gaga's work is so fickle her team has to constantly walk on eggshells dodging other announcements and releases like she's a newbie. Announcing that you have an announcement like Beyoncé did is an effective way to assert dominance and keep the world on the edge of their seats, that there's a plan, and I respect that. But not an endless teasing that gives you the feeling that nothing is solid, especially after an era full of missed opportunities and hijacked priorities I'm sorry.
