I love that when the song came out everyone thought ok, a cute top 10 peak to keep us entertained until LG7 comes. And now y'all are complaining it's been stuck at #2 / #3 for weeks

Nothing's set in stone (today showed that more than anything ) but it's definitely possible. It tied Applause at 14 weeks. All that's left are Bad Romance (17 weeks), Poker Face (18 weeks), and Just Dance (19 weeks).

And it isn't just interacting with fans. It's doing it in a way that feels cool and interesting. 

 

For me it's still a mistery why she didn't do stuff like Chicken Shop Date, Hot Ones, Vanity Fair YT content, etc etc during the JFAD promo cycle. We need to see her again outside the usual, standardized stuff that she always does now. 

 

Will we even get something like this? 

 

 

I don't think so. Like I've been saying, for Gaga and her team typing 2 tweets and call it a day is more than enough.

I'm about to say something that might sound extremely cringe for my age, but after seeing your post and mentioning Charli, I've realized her current issue, especially with genzs, is that she's not perceived as "cool" right now.

 

It's not "cool to stan her" anymore. 

I know it sounds super dumb 

 

She's recognized as a hyper-talented artist, but somewhere along the way, she lost that elusive cool factor. (?)

Not that much, but slightly possible.

 

The thing is that ABS is going to get an instant huge boost after New Year's Day. Kendrick is also getting viral with tv off, SZA is supposed to release by the end of the year (and so is Taylor rumored to). The fact that songs like Sticky and That's So True are consistently rising isn't helping either

 

But there's still a chance, as long as pop radio doesn't drop DWAS too quickly.
