Abel and Katy released a 2nd (and third ) single really close to the lead, but we have the xmas freeze It feels like an album release in February 2025 was an intentional set-up to start the new year with single #2. It also wouldn't surprise me if single #2 gets a far bigger push than Disease since Interscope will want something smashing to help carry the album during its release. The bigger question I have is if we'll get Disease physicals at all. I doubt they would help at this point but I'd at least love a CD of Disease. 1
Mix Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Disease sounds extra FRESH today, thank god the music is loud so i cant hear the mess in here 6

Babylon …(the rest)… it could go as high as #1, this top 4 is very tight and all are around 9-9.5 territory for me 2nd only to Godplay. 2
kwek_kwek Posted November 4 Posted November 4 2nd single on January 10th together with album pre-order and tour dates announcement. Album release on Feb 28th with 3rd single. 1
Heldenzeit Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Not me clicking and expecting to read some light hearted diseaseD shade by monsters and then the first words that pop up on my screen are "terrorist attack" and "dictator". 1
atemyheartinc Posted November 4 Posted November 4 she shipped the album to interscope and it got shipped back again unfortunately 2

Maybe towards the end of the month. I know that isn't really something people do anymore, but there's no point in pushing a second single before the new year because it just won't take off. 2
Denim Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I'm kinda shocked we still don't have the album title. I believe this is the first time we haven't had an album title alongside the first single. Thoughts ? 1

That's a lot of ifs and ands I think we should just be glad it did as well as it did and let it go.
gagalips Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Are there seriously people in this fan base that are pissed she endorsed Kamala? Like go away 1

Album release on Feb 28th with 3rd single. The thing is... if Disease had been a cute Top 10 hit, I'd agree that your plan is the best they've got. But since Disease seriously underperformed and isn't showing any momentum, I'm concerned that opening pre-orders just one month before release might be cutting it too close. Usually, an artist either has a ton of hype built up (like Billie after a hit and an Oscar win) or they keep pre-orders open as long as possible to maximize the chances of a #1 debut. With no guarantee of a second single that's a sure hit, I think opening pre-orders later this month might not be a bad idea.
Denim Posted November 4 Posted November 4 DWAS was soooooooooo smart…. Like, of course disease wasn't gonna smash. I think 90% of us heard it and knew immediately it was gonna be Perfect Illusion/Stupid Love on the charts. Thats why DWAS was so smart, get a smash hit ahead of time to fight off all these annoying "disease flopped" comments. And we can all enjoy the quality music for what it is. i think if anything does well off LG7 it's because the GP naturally picks it up off social media. Thats why I'm starting to love @GraceRandolph idea of releasing multiple singles at the same time and seeing what the audience gravitates too. id kinda love a Venus/DWUW situation where she releases two songs and sees what works. Alternatively, she could tease 2-3 snippets on TikTok from the album and see what catches the most attention. The Weeknd teased timeless and São Paulo ahead of time and they naturally built hype on social media and within his fanbase

It is actually closer to two months. 49 days to exact. 1
Denim Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Speaking of which, she should release a zombiefied HQ snippet, along with Abracadabra and Notorious being. About 10 seconds for each. See which one catches the fanbase/internets attention most then release it as a promo single im actually kinda obsessed with The Weeknd's rollout of just consistently pushing out singles and seeing what sticks. It turned the era from a commercial failure to a moderately successful to potentially big success. 4

truthteller Posted November 4 Posted November 4 i dont understand either like they have nothing to lose even if they just drop the pre order with a placeholder date now 2

Now that we know she's less of a single artist than ever before, she should focus on boosting the album's numbers and creating momentum and mystery for LG7. I can't take any more shame from singles' numbers, positions on Spotify, and red updates until February.

Like go away Can't imagine how they are still in this site since most MPGs here either endorse one or another (rarely but still), both of candidates have similar views on the issue they care so much about. And not just US, many other countries' leaders too. It must be exhausting to waste your anger to person who don't have any power to fix the issue they care. Like what's the point? Unless someone come out saying they directly support ''reducted'', this is not the hill to die on. Being angry about the leaders in charge, not everyday people (celebrities included) who are trying to fight for things they personally have interests for (IE abortion rights in US, LGBT rights etc). Jack! Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Yeah, I mean if she waits until (10th) January to put the preorders up for a mid-to-late February release, that would still be like a 6-8 week window for preorders which is fine, but I'd say it's no less helpful to just open them up now. She might get more preorders and hopefully that'll help her first week sales. 3
