When it's all said and done, fans and box-office aficionados will compare them no matter what.

If Joker 2 is indeed an R-rated musical, I have some reservations about its potential to achieve the same level of success as its predecessor. However, let us hope for a top 5 finish. It is important to note that the highest-grossing R-rated musical to date is A Star Is Born (2018), which earned $434,888,866. Additionally, ASIB was not strictly a musical. If all goes well, we can anticipate a gross of approximately $600,000,000 to $700,000,000. Deadpool is bringing back all the X-Men and might even have Taylor Swift in it.
