I just noticed that Gaga is very conventional when it comes to politics and social justice.

The only hard stance she takes and is considered controversial or was considered controversial was the LGBTQIA+ stance which is amazing. Everything else she seems super democratic establishment esque.

Like she is very much so a grandpa / grandma democrat. Loves centrists, doesn't like to shake the table too much politically, is completely pro Israel, does a bit of tax scamming on the side (looking at you Born This Way Foundation :eli: ) etc...

In a way I like that because it's easy to tolerate and is digestible for the most part to the GP. It's just I used to always think of her as a radical but really she isn't which is interesting.

She’s a progressive tbh. She follows Bernie and followed Esperanza Fonseca whose handle was @endclasssociety

I kinda like Jopanned for some reason. :chick3: Maybe it's the folk elements idk, but she's a cute girl.

Bombanne is not bad, but it is so basic and boring compared to every other Gaga era (even CHARTDROP feels more ambitious and interesting). It truly drags and, in my opinion, doesn't feel really genuine.

Not even PI, DH, JW and DiC could save it.

Sorry but Joanne is better than ARTPOP & even Chromatica on some days. I just wish she went more Fleetwood Mac direction with her HAC album instead of HAG

Joanne remains Gaga's worst album to date by a country mile (no pun intended). I can appreciate what she was trying to do, and I mean no disrespect to what she was going through when creating it, but it's by far her most uninspired and bland sounding album to date. It's not even that it's not dance-pop, as A Star Is Born (primarily) wasn't either and didn't have that problem (and ironically it was actually the dance-pop songs on A Star Is Born that had that problem).

It just hit me that her two best albums' names have 3 words

I think I’ve realized that Gaga’s voice is just made for EDM and electronic music. She is just too powerful to be convincing on indie songs which are more suited for people who have softer, more feminine voices. Gaga could pull off rock too, but EDM just suits her perfectly.

Joanne. Artpop has developed a cult narrative and is having a critical reappraisal. And Applause was legitimately very big and feels like one of her signature songs (bar her obvious classics). People still use "live for the applause" jokes.

Joanne is very near ARTPOP’s pure sales in the US, and it was released 3 years later.

outside US, Artpoop is bigger because of Joanne’s Americana sound.

well I’m saying that but after asib smashed harder outside US and same for Hold My Hand ☠️
