How are we doing on streaming? I’m shocked the album is still at #1 on iTunes. I know it doesn’t generate many sales but still.

I hope all these interviews on things are helping. Maybe doing all of this isn’t the worst thing in lieu of TV promo.

It does generate sales for Kelly. She sold 17,500 on digital. Almost more than all other options. That’s more than most. I looked into other artists and they did not sell as much on digital recently.

Yeah I am absolutely floored by the breakdown of her units moved.  I thought the Spotify numbers were indicative of overall success, but her audience seems to be buyers, which is amazing.  17,500 on digital sales alone is astounding, and it's really exciting when you realize that the album is still #1 on iTunes.  I didn't think an iTunes #1 meant anything anymore, but it does, apparently. I told myself I'd stop caring about numbers after release week was over, but I am curious to see how far the album drops on the BB200, because if she's still at #1 on iTunes and her CD's are selling out in a ton of retailers...that's a lot of her sales right there.

I also think that the podcasts are something she should do going forward.  People are really into podcasts and while I think that the talk show circuit is also very important and she should do that next album cycle if she can, they're more formulaic and the shows are just a revolving door of famous people where you lose a lot of what the person is actually there to talk about because everyone's focused on the celebrity aspect and everyone is there to promote something. With this album she's been making the podcast rounds and getting really personal about her story, it feels a little more grassroots and less of a robotic obligation for 7 minutes, and i feel like it's resonating.

Same :jonny:

Also the fact that she sold that many physical copies in 2023 20 years into her career is insane in this market

fkoh is the clear favorite for the next single at this point. It is consistently the most streamed with out any push since it was pre-released. When you add in the remix, it's in her top 4 daily streamed songs overall. I think it's time they give it a summer push. Then they can pivot to rock hudson and/or lighthouse this fall

Agreed. It is obvious and I know many aren’t fans of FKOH but it has the best chance for summer. Then I would push Magic or Lighthouse for fall. RH would flop. It is what it is, y’all.

It really isn’t. The song has been out for a while and has a bigger playlist reach.

The fact that it's been out longer had has nothing to do with it having higher DAILY streams than than the lead single.

Yeah, FKOH has been consistently out streaming every other song since the beginning. The only time it wasn't was during release week when RH had all that playlisting.

Haha I love to hear her hum through and make sounds at the end of the Mine chorus. Very cool to get a snapshot of what the song once was!

There's something about "why am I missing you tonight... and ALL THE TIME" that destroys me.

There is no lead single sis… The streams of mine and me are divided due to the dual release. FKOY was a stand alone release. Also it does matter how long a song is out; longer on a playlist = more daily streams. And FKOY got the best playlisting of any track so far. Not to mention the guetta remix lured his fans to check the original track out as well.

Now looking at YT streams magic and down to you have more daily plays. DTU has 2x more plays than fkop. Rock hudson has 10x more plays :rip: Those sound like great single materials, and not the same song Kelly could’ve recorded for ugly dolls.

This was freaking hilarious (and too short!)

Epic, hilarious, vocals, I hope this goes ultra viral. It would be good promo and it seems like primarily black audience which could be a new demo to re discover her? Black twitter always shows max respect depending on the Kellyoke cover

Kelly going on podcasts is so intelligent. A podcast listener is the type who is familiar with streaming. And Kelly is so likeable that a podcast listener will likely stream at least one new song. I think people don’t realize how funny and down to earth she is.
