Couldn't Be Better (Pop Version) and Broken & Beautiful match this description. The opening instrumental in FKOH sounds very similar to the opening strums from Couldn't Be Better.

Im not saying you're wrong really, I just think the more accurate framing of this would be that the ugly dolls soundtrack has a lot of modern pop production.  So your comparison feels like more of a mood killer, for me at least.

Now THIS I can get behind! Wonder if they’ll tag it onto a deluxe version of album if true

That’s a very pedantic and weird comment though? Of course people are going to draw comparisons with Kelly’s new releases to her past music and the past releases from her that most closely match FKOH was from the Ugly Dolls soundtrack. Sorry if that’s a mood killer but acting like people are weird for pointing out that comparison rather than just say “modern pop production” is unfair.

Also, I wouldn’t call FKOH “modern pop” by any means. Pop has moved on to other sounds. Billie Eilish with her whispery, low-fi pop sounds and Olivia’s pop-rock resurgence are more current than the UD soundtrack and FKOH sounds nothing like them.

Just listened to the full song. This is a BOP! I think it’s great as is but I can totally see the potential a remix can add to it. It can be a dance smash 100%.

FKOH is giving Carley Rae Jepsen vibes.

well maybe it's time for pop to return to its glorious, bubblegum form... and FKOH is just what we need :foxaylove2:

It’s a fun song… I just don’t get why it’s being raved about so much idk… the Chorus could do with a lot of amping up- David Guetta save us!

I still haven't heard FKOH. But on the note Couldn't Be Better (pop), I always thought the beginning strums pulled from MLWSWY. Given CBB is a random kids movie song, maybe MLWS would be a better Kelly discography reference for that kind of opening guitar strum?

No because the song is more synth pop, which is CBB (pop) rather than MLWSWY.

It's a bop but I doubt Atlantic is going to push it right. What a weird era...they could've at least made a visualizer. Everything just feels...off.

Also fkoh reminds me of Fun Tonight from Chromatica

So David Guetta is the songwriter?

Sweet. Now will the DG remix feature CRJ. This is THE question. If so, my gay mind may explode rainbows.

I think CRJ is the song writer and DG is the DJ.

tbh have been wanting Kelly to sing some CRJ pop songs. And on a side note, it would amazing if she did a country album written by Taylor.

I hope we get a fun dance breakdown at the end of the chorus with the David Guetta remix

It's on YT (with the rap feature lol). I get the UD reference and would have liked a punchier chorus, but at first listen I think it's great. I think I'll grow to love it even more.

I suppose reminder that mine/me opening day on Spotify were:

515,345 (mine)

209,893 (me)

my partial first day columns on my spread is messed up for some reason (think cos I started doing it on pages app on phone and it messed up a copy and paste column thing) so unsure *exactly* what to look for on the partial update to gage, but, if memory serves, I thin it might have been around 10-15k for mine for those numbers. For reference, avril’s new single had a partial of 19,435 and then a first day of 868,326

so I think you kind of look towards:

5k partial = 250k first day
10k partial = 500k first day

15k partial = 750k first day

20k partial = 1m first day
