So if this is a double album (+ also two different genres)…I wonder how this will impact nominations?

Like…would she be nominated for both Pop and Rap categories? :celestial5:

Has that ever happened before? How did they handle with OutKast’s double album? I can’t remember.

but THIS is what i'm excited for. It's in her best interest to remind everyone that's she's capable of being versatile and doing different sounds... dropping 2 albums is genius so she has the ability to shift away from her previous work without completely alienating everything that made people like her in the first place

I have faith but RCA needs to make sure everything is lined up to perfection because she put herself in a high risk zone right now.

it was a mess lmao and it would be that again

songs were deemed to R&B/main categories, while the album was nominated and won best rap album. but if doja pushes a more hip hop oriented sound I can see her getting into the rap songs categories at least melodic rap (if that category existed back in the day, that's where they would consider Outkast)

kind of concerned of her. she's about to alienate the people who listen to her outside of kittens, the amount of negative comments on her tweets is concerning. I truly doubt RCA will allow her to have such a huge departure from PH, probably they will let her do her sound as long as they can push a NTK/Streets type lead single. or did she renegotiate her contract? next era I think she will have a lot of artistic control.

also the only thing i gathered from the snippets is that she needs to drop jay versace and y2k asap bc those beats are ass :toofunny2:

If she has a double album she’ll be ok.  Doubt it will all sound like those snippets.

I’ll be glad when she just announces she’s doing both, so people can chill lol.

And these snippets aren’t even that bad, lol.

possibly, it's only 10 tracks with 5 bonuses right? I guess we'll see what she decides to keep on the standard edition :celestial5:
