I really don't understand why she won't grow the hell up and why she thinks she can befriend everyone, especially them. I'm glad they got roasted by social media, but at the end of the day the **** isn't worth it. Nicki is very clearly paying these people to harass her and start ****. It's clear. And Cardi's simple ass loves giving them attention. It's weird how obsessed that lady and her supporters are with Cardi, but the least she could do is pay them in unbotheredness.

Luv, i know you have a love/hate relationship with Belcalis but Hot ish will hopefully have a dope visual to make it better but it'll be a cute club/party summer hit at best and that's cool. She's already working on the next single which apparently per Vogue Singapore she's going to release the next single August/September (hopefully August around the VMAs with a performance medley of HS and then into the next single and then release the album afterwards.

 

My hope is she takes on Taylor's album release schedule because Taylor got to promote her first few singles at all the award shows and then end at the grammy's at the end of the era.

As we suspected she needed a gender neutral song out there like Bartier Cardi that's youth driven and not female oriented. I suspect her other singles will be more female oriented (be careful/WAP/Up/Thru your phone) and occasionally universal gender neutral like Money/Bodak/Get up 10

February 2021 Up

July 2022 Hot ish summer urban club/party bop

late August 2022 next single maybe a solo track more rhythmic leaning

of course a bunch on Getup 10/bickenhead/i do songs that will get streams but were not official singles.

 

I don't want her to release in September because I want them to clear the path for Beyonce or Kendrick to snatch that AOTY and not deal with votesplitting. If Adele ends up snatching that AOTY again. The implosion that will do.

 

It seems she will kickoff her tour in the fall  (North America then South America (possibly September/October), then break for movie Nov/Dec, then return to tour in Australia/Asia/Africa and then in the spring Europe and pull one more leg in the summer at N. America/S. America so...

Yes, why waste promo on a song that isn't clicking with the GP but is going off in the clubs/parties for the summer.

 

It'll be a less successful bartier cardi where people will hopefully look back and see while it's a bop it'll hopefully be the worst single of the bunch having people scratch their heads on why it was chosen over the Bickenhead/I do/Thru your phone of album tracks for Cb2.

Bodak (chef's kiss universal breakout cultural reset),

Bartier (cute for the youth and male leaning-not the best single of the bunch)

Be careful (male bashing female leaning grower and iconic)

I like it (the pop universal leaning gender neutral smash with trap, latin, and hip pop elements)

Ring (I mean it's female leaning and is Thru your phone's little sister but it's catchy, kids actually can listen to it and it hits)

good club party hit for the summer in a lull of very few summer songs and it'll be that song that you'll listen to every now and again and if you decide you want to listen to the full album but in terms of adding to certain playlists or consistent listens...likely not.

 

She'll have a new single out, then likely 3 other singles after that

Survey says: WAP>Up>hopefully one of the other 4 singles > HS (but still a bop. she ate her verse and made me appreciate Lil Durk's interesting flow).

Yeah. No matter what they say, Cardi has amassed a large enough fanbase to start debuting her music in the top 20 WITHOUT a visual. If this song was a legit banger, she'd have a bonafide hit moving forward. It's not a bad song, it just shouldn't have been a single. I blame the features. But as long as Cardi is happy with it and willing to push it, which I have no doubts about her work ethic, it'll do fine. Not some big summer smash, but not every song will be a smash.

 

As I stated, the long she takes to release CB2, the harder it will be for her because expectations grow every passing day.

Yep. And the album should come NLT September. But seeing as how she's still looking for songs and it's already been 3+ years since the IOP era ended, I'm not hopeful the album will be coming any time soon, cause it shouldn't take this long. She's overthinking it.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if she waited until AFTER the Grammy deadline to release the album because Kendrick is probably taking ALL the rap categories. Plus, the album is still isn't finished and yes, she is overthinking it.

There’s clearly a lack of hits. She even said it herself. She needs to just put it out because songs like Hot **** sound straight out of 2019 and it’s not gonna be cute if we get dated sounding material in 2023.
