Planet Mars Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 I can see SOME country, but I'll pass on a rock album. I don't need white male rockists attacking Beyoncé in an attempt to gate keep a genre they colonized.

A project including a large number of DHYs and TBOs this is what i'm hoping. i think she can mix country and rock with soul/blues as well
Daydream Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 If rock means an album full of Don't Hurt Yourselfs then bring it on.

They wont be able to say ****
Cain Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 When she brings Tina out of retirement for Rockaissance

I guessed this before the album, and she says it in two songs You’re correct I fear. She’ll be riding a bull on the cover. Not to mention her cow print obsession there for a bit. Punch Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Still havent digested this Masterpiece......My Faves for Today : ENERGY SUMMER RENAISSANCE
Virgos Groove Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Queen of rock, queen of dance, queen of house, queen of disco, queen of R&B, queen of pop, queen of EVERYTHING
Daydream Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 It's no coincidence that some of the members making threads talking bad about the album are known Tr**p supporters. You just know that this was them when they heard the "voting out 45" lyric in ENERGY: I'm glad she made the album just a lil political to sneak that in there. But yes we do need her to dominate country and rock radio with the next albums just to make them fume even more.

Plus, DHY is the greatest song on Lemonade and the Rock covers she sang at Glastonbury/French concerts in 2011 are a further proof of her versatility. Old white men will do nothing but **** off.
Marla Singer Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 I still have not skipped a single song since Friday.
sillycilla Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 I didn’t realize she was describing the pride flag in cozy. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRDctMsn/?k=1 Also, an underrated self love bop.
Cain Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 DHY is literally one of her best songs, she would blow all of these poprock teens out of the water + she has an arsenal of black rock artists she could sample (since she loves that so much) And she could bring Tina and Lenny on board, yeah she’s taking it
Pepo Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 If anything, Country stans are the most well-known close-minded fanbase of them all.

It samples an old rap bop which makes it more nostalgic. Then the vocal layers, bass, and synths >>>>
Daydream Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 She made Grace Jones come out of retirement. If she gets Tina too. Imagine having Luther Vandross, Grace Jones and Tina Turner on your albums.
Planet Mars Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 SUMMER RENAISSANCE & ALIEN SUPERSTAR are at 1M on YT already. It's looking like these two really are going to be going at it. They'll debut pretty high on the charts.

Just thinking about that moment she took the CMA stage with the Chicks. Their website had to remove the article the following day because of the comment section was bombarded by racists. Still one of my favorite moments of her career despite that ugly backlash.
Planet Mars Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 PLASTIC OFF THE SOFA, is so underrated. Have barely heard a mention of that masterpiece in this base. Perhaps the taste is lacking here, I fear. If I have to be the one to stream it into the Top 10 then so be it, I'll take that sacrifice.

PLASTIC and GROOVE come at the perfect time when I’m tired of dancing and want to take a seat. I’m obsessed with singing both songs… both vocal highlights in her career I fear
