My theory is the tour announcement came with the act iii announcement and a magazine spread and she needed their okay to postpone it.

I think there's a fire element to whatever she wanted to release today, whether its a visual element or a title

Also the yaya visual is very "stargirl"

had a motorcycle and a burning star, and yaya is the most "rock" song on cc

Actually, that might have been an outtake concept for act iii cover just like I think Ya Ya was originally meant for act iii and that's why it wasn't on Beyincé.

Things that have been finished and scheduled regarding this Trilogy, besides REN album and concert film:

  • BREAK MY SOUL single release
  • Renaissance Tour
  • BREAK MY SOUL remix
  • CUFF IT REMIX
  • AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM remix
  • MY HOUSE single release
  • Concert film LA and London premieres
  • Beyoncé Super Bowl commercial
  • TEXAS HOLD 'EM + 16 CARRIAGES single release
  • COWBOY CARTER album release
  • PONY UP remix
  • COWBOY CARTER standard vinyl release
  • LEVI'S COMMERCIAL (essentially a lil promo for the associated song)
  • BEYONCÉ BOWL

Now, I'm sure people will say this isn't enough, or nitpick the list and say "that's nothing" or "the bare minimum" but I don't think its fair to say [hyperbolically or not] that "nothing about this trilogy has even been finished" when in fact, plenty has. [And also this list is comprised of things similar in nature to the two examples preceded by "besides..." thereby making them all just as eligible as an answer].

It's time like this I live for all Ur posts, cos this base is turning to something else.

I'm sorry, I don't see the big deal that she "waited" on announcing the postponement at midnight. The date teaser was dropped a whopping three weeks ago, and wild fires in LA/CA are common occurences. It didn't become clear these fires would be ongoing and increasingly destructive until maybe a week ago.  What difference does it make? You still ain't getting sh!|

You don't think she could have said it 6pm Monday or Sunday or Saturday or when she made her contribution? Like it's been obvious the fires were a problem.

Swiss, babe, today's is not the day! Love your diatribes, but even the things you've listed can be used to prove my point.

Also- "COWBOY CARTER" release was literally being tweaked as releasing and the official vinyls coming months later, stocked with reshoot snaps, because the album was ever evolving, is a result of that.

We can call a thing a thing, exaggerated or not, because we really don't need to exaggerate with era, and still be dedicated fans.

Not being sad because something that has nothing to do with you is not successful is one thing, praying for the downfall of a tour of an artist you love and hoping something awful happens so it gets canceled just because you can't go or don't want it is insane and privileged behavior.

I never said I hope something awful happens :rip:I just said I don't want it to be successful, which is partly a joke. Obviously I am not PRAYING for an unsuccessful tour. But this is the same woman who did OTR II after literally no one wanted her to. I didn't feel bad when those dates old slowly either. It is what it is. People like me who are able to go and are reliable ticket buyers are her target audience so excuse me for poking fun.

Oh no I'm not particularly annoyed by this delay to be honest… but to say Beyonce is not using marketing to create narratives is a bit delusional in my perspective. Beyonce, the product, is entirely marketing. The proof is that people do not know Beyonce the person much, just the performer. The focus is put on her and her music as a product.

Yes, I agree. I was using marketing to mainly mean "promo that the Hive wants of her" but certainly the entire thing is marketing for her, her brand, her image, her legacy. And the mysterious "I only appear when it is time to appear" vibe she's given since 2013 is definitely part of that.

BUT I don't think the music itself is so much used as a product to market, but as art to market such that it circles back to say something about Beyoncé the singer, artist, legend, etc. If she saw her music as a product, she'd be trying to sell it more. Since she sees it as art, she's not forcing it on people, which is always at the detriment to people thinking something is art.

Oh, absolutely, and it's been jinxed from the beginning because they never followed suit on any promise. Yvette promised a 'rollout for the ages,' but apparently, the age she meant was the Stone Age, because all we've seen is silence.

I definitely think Ya Ya is an Act III recording. Totally explains why it was added to the tracklist so much later than the other songs on the project. Also explains why it ends so strangely (it was probably intended to transition into a completely different song. Oh Louisiana definitely feels like a last minute transition fix-up).

I was going to say how it started out great and the vinyl situation is where it went downhill, but then I thought back to when she was being shut out of Country radio before the album was even released. It really has been the mark of the beast since February 🤣

COWBOY CARTER was finished by the planned release date. That's a fact.

Whether or not the vinyls were, doesn't make the album unfinished. At 12:00 AM on March 29th, you and the rest of the world got the finished and complete COWBOY CARTER. She didn't wait a week to add YA YA to streaming, or announce "wait I have a new version of II HANDS II HEAVEN y'all!". The "unfinished" version came in the form of something literally labelled as "limited edition". Whether that was a clever fix or not, COWBOY CARTER was released in full on the day that was scheduled.

this trilogy era has had her biggest artistic highlights so far and it's important to uplift that!!! that being said I genuinely feel sorry for her because its frankly quite obvious that a lot of unavoidable messes have been plaguing parkwood behind the scenes (injurys, lawsuits, delays, creative fallouts, etc)

Please be so for real right now, she unleashed unfinished versions of an album for the vinyl and SCAMMED her fans by saying it included BONUS tracks (that she removed the wording for AFTER its release). Also remove Levi Jeans from your list because that is still on chapter 1, and won't be continued since no one cared

Weak theory here but,

If the Art Book was meant to be released for Christmas, maybe something tied to it (visuals/documentary) was supposed to drop immediately after the Christmas show. Maybe the '14.1.25 Announcement' was actually a fairly last minute decision, because the team decided at the last minute not to drop something on Christmas Day? So they just lied and said the art book was delayed and would be shipped at a later date (the release of what they're linked to).

Something to support this: The teaser seems to have been recorded at the same time of the pre-recorded segment of the Beyonce Bowl (same horse, same hair, on a football field). This would suggest it was originally intended to be footage to use in a teaser for the actual Beyonce Bowl (ie the car and cactus video teasers).
