What if it's a Deluxe Edition of Cowboy Carter with the book? :suburban:

I am 50% confident that tomorrow at least 44% of us are going to be 90% disappointed with at least 70% of what she's gonna do

I just don't know why she'd drop a 3 week teaser to announce a tour or residency. That's not the kind of thing you hype up for weeks on end like it's all mysterious. I'm holding on to hope that it's Act III.

Or, if we're really lucky, she'll announce that she's going Gluten-Free :duca:

Yeah, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me to have a build up like this for a tour, hasn't she always just announced it?  Like why wait 3 weeks to announce a date for ticket sale.

If it's music, she probably had a set plan for release, and 3 weeks ago would've been too early, same with visuals

Also, musing more about Act III potentially being rock — rock really could mean anything. One major point of this trilogy is playing with genre expectations. And let's be real, only like, half the songs on Renaissance sound like what you expect when you think "dance" or "house." And there are plenty of songs on CC that don't sound country at all.

I know when most of us think "rock," our reference points in Bey's catalogue might be Ya Ya, American Requiem, and 1+1, but that's a very limited view. Rock could be electronic and autotuned; it could be bombastic and pop; it could be novelty and silly; it could be psychedelic and experimental. In other words, her ARTROCK could mean anything. :ryan3:

So I'm not worried. I hope she just leans into it and takes us on a journey. She's a genius. Give us your Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club meets Nine Inch Nails meets electropop, queen. Go crazy.

Almost 55M views on Twitter alone for her teaser, the hysteria this caused:rip:

I hate to be that girl lol, but 55 million views on Twitter is LOW.

I went back and looked at some recent dates, and they usually announce between the 13th and 18th of the month.

My final predictions

1. It's going to be a trailer for the visuals, which will be either a limited series or a 2 hour+ movie. The visuals will be considered act iii.

2. If it is a tour or residency, I think it's going to be in a way that has not been done before. It will be CC focused.

She said "This three act project was recorded during the pandemic."

Sure, it's not impossible act iii could be the film, but the word recorded implies music.  No actor says "We're going to start recording the film this summer" and no director says, "While we were recording..."

similar to lemonade trailer, we got a release date but no one knew exactly what lemonade was going to be. she could be doing the same thing here by giving us a date but not revealing the details. if she were putting out visuals and wanted us to be genuinely surprised, this is the way to do it

That is very true. I just personally would like to see more concrete evidence of a third album haha. I'm only like 50% convinced of it right now. But depending what happens tomorrow could turn me into an act iii truther!

My only thing is that it would be slightly underwhelming (in my opinion) to release these highly anticipated visuals on a random Tuesday, when most people are in school or working. Obviously that would not ruin the performance of the visuals or anything, but I feel like visuals being released on a Friday make more sense.

Sawry, I'd rather have brand new music with a new era and aesthetic.

I'm not begging for visuals for 3 years later (unless it's a full film A-list extravaganza with Wizard of Oz related narrative and no ASMR poetry slam). :coffee2:

I'd rather have act iii than any visuals right now, too.  Not a huge fan of the idea of Ren/CC being one film, and act iii having it's own.

Besides, if we get act iii we know the visuals aren't far behind.  GRAMMYs 2026 are a logical endpoint for the trilogy, in my opinion. 2022-2026 is long enough.

waiting 3 weeks for an announcement for something that'll happen months later would be so unexciting (and honestly useless) :beatfreak: pls god let it be anything but a tour/residency or documentary

If she made us wait three weeks for a residency 99% of her fans won't be able to attend… :rip:

I really want Act 3 to be music however I can't forget that when her website glitched before the Renaissance announcement it only mentioned B7 & B8...

That's like...not true??

Twitter videos tally views differently than actual tweets. For example, even Taylor's well-liked video tweets aren't close to 55M

I don't own the vinyls, but don't the backs of them make a horse? And a third of the horse is still missing, no? That would imply a third piece of music is coming. Unless the visual DVD is really big and comes in vinyl case dddd
