In all seriousness, Beyonce will always be Beyonce, but I do believe something has shifted. You could make the argument no one can stay on top of the zeitgeist forever, but I can't help feel as if so much of this could've been avoided with only a slightly different strategy. As a lifelong fan, I'm feeling pretty disconnected from her; if a lot of us feel that way, it's no wonder the GP let CC freefall off the Billboard 200. She really doesn't have one single album charting there right now? People are literally calling Beyonce a murderer and some think she didn't even give birth to Blue and people wonder why she doesn't want to go outside and promote her music or do interviews. Fame is terrifying to her. I think her personal and professional life is full of tense relationships from her record label to her father to her husband. There's lots going on and she hints at it in her music. She called Renaissance an "escape" not her real feelings. There's a hint of sadness even in a happy carefree song like cuff it or church girl and in 16 carriages and much of the new album. Since the Life is But a Dream doc and 2013 album, she's been hinting at her life not being perfect and all roses. This is ironically the same time she started to disconnect from the public to protect herself. The media pushed her back to her shell. As an introvert myself, I totally get it. Beyonce is not going to work herself to death for the sake of fans. She wants to enjoy her kids, her house, her man on her own time. She wants to live life without concerns about charts or success. It's no way to live. She spent her entire childhood doing that living to become famous and a star like MJ and what did she get from it except people trying to tear her down . it's sad to me that people gave Rihanna almost a decade of space with no new album and she doesn't get dragged and she gives lackluster performance when she does show up at the SB but Beyonce is expected to do the most and do everything like she's some machine Edited October 23 by Nippy'sReceipts 3 2

We always took pride in the fact that Bey was all about longevity but her longevity game is ****. Sorry not sorry Everything till BEYONCE was aimed at longevity, everything since is aimed at initial hype and NO sustain. Thats why her old stuff keeps surpassing her new output. Shes lost herself in the money-game Shes essentially become what she criticized, however on a much more severe level- albums. She's a billionaire, she doesn't need the chump change she gets from music tbh, and she will never have issues touring, ever
Lose My Breath Posted October 23 Posted October 23 (edited) Even with her "bad" streams on spotify, her catalog with 10 million daily brings in 14 million annually, that doesn't account for Apple, Amazon, or whatever else she gets. If she were to increase to 20 million daily, that's only 28 million annually. After royalties, how much do you think she's netting? She makes more money in interest on the money she already has annually, probably MANY MANY times more, I'm certain. I'm assuming she doesn't think the increase of probably 7 million dollars annually after royalties and whatever else is worth the time, and scrutiny it takes to be everywhere like Sabrina Carpenter Edited October 23 by Lose My Breath 3

I don't expect her to work to death, and if I were in her situation you'd literally never see me again. However, she's got one foot in one foot out; I think it's okay to acknowledge the approach she's taking is frustrating for fans. I'd certainly never ask her to do a late night talk show or media blitz ever again. I'm okay with her retaining her privacy, but I think there surely must be another way to keep your fanbase engaged. Because she certainly has no problem popping out or doing commercials and magazine interviews to line her pockets even more than they already are. 8 3
Draper. Posted October 23 Posted October 23 1 hour ago, ScorpiosGroove said: but this only works for content people actually like, which isn't the case for CC It would be if she did the tour. Even if it doesn't sell at the beginning, after watching tiktoks of people wearing some cute denim looks on the tour and her riding a mechanical bull people would want to go like crazy. Just like people wanted to be a part of the Heated bridge with the fans, the mute challenge, the silver looks and mirror hats, and watch her wearing the Loewe bodysuit and doing the robot dance. None of that existed before the tour, but then everybody wanted in.
kimberly Posted October 23 Posted October 23 please. Beyoncé is THE touring artist. people want to see her. and a "COWBOY" show would rake in cash, no doubt. at least in the US. more than anything, my worry is that the Cowboy Carter songs won't work well for a stadium show. I'm sure if she does a tour, she'll figure out a way to make them feel rambunctious. but aside from, like, Ya Ya, she can't possibly keep a majority of the songs as they are. or maybe she will, and this will be her first tour without constant choreo and dancers. maybe she'll even give live vocals for the whole show. who knows

Bffrl That's Europe though. In the US I know a few dates were slower on selling out. Also she canceled one of the worst selling dates due to "production reasons". not saying she's struggling tour wise, just wanted to add some more context, it goes without saying the Renaissance tour was a massive success, but that also benefitted from post-covid tour hype. 1

People in this thread reporting that ....how much impact does that have in correlation...? The thing about that show, even if people wanted tickets, they didn't have them up for buying. They really screwed up there. And the dates people are saying struggled still had a good attendance and gross. More than some other artists.
