You're definitely not wrong :rip:

I'd keep JFF and Flamenco though.

Formation is the example of a song I can't listen to when it comes to the studio version. I used to love it but I feel like the studio version is « slow/bland » compared to live versions with all these extra instruments. Still my jam to this day but not the Lemonade version.

How I wish… but she put « ROCK » signs everywhere on that CC Vinyl pic she posted which got me mad cuz it basically confirms that Act III = rock music smh

real question tho :

what is it that you guys don't like about Bday? Please be nice and EXPLAIN, I don't need my feelings to be hurt but I really would love to understand what yall don't like about Bday when to me, it's full of bangers and that's what I love the most about Bey.

I know I joke about it a lot, but tbh I do love B'Day! It doesn't suffer from the musicality of it like I would say about IASF/some of DIL, but rather in the actual sound quality. The production sounds tinny and kinda harsh instead of full and rich like it wants to be, and even on the vocals it sometimes kinda sounds like it was recorded on an Azealia Banks holding a mic up to a megaphone-type setup. The short recording time is an essential part of her lore and highlights her passion and drive, but it also means it doesn't sound as clean as it could.

Her albums always give us something new and fresh imo.

That's why she never regressed and other pop girls kinda went downwards.

Just saying.
