Sorry, but this is such a dizzy and dense hot take from AB and anyone who agrees with it.

What about the cover (which seems purposefully controversial and a potential head-ups for an unapologetic era) is "white accepting imagery"?

Azealia is a babbling combo of what happens when standom meets contrarian meets stitching together narratives that suit the baseless argument presented. The irony being the same Azealia is overly critical of Bey's displays of blackness too lol. She just likes to talk. Silly woman.

She ultimately likes Bey but seems dedicated to critiquing her and loves the response said discourse gives her.

The reality being that she'd be better off studying Bey's staying power. Because one person is actively blazing a trail and the other is doing keyboard warrior dissecting it. Stans get away with the latter because they aren't actively trying to be their idols. Azealia has been angling to be a "thing" for 12 years and is pretty much a joke.

Oh wow, i'm definitely surprised a stan is against his fave's critic

Convinced you're trolling now lol. If any critique of a critique is relegated to bind standom without actually engaging in the points raised, then it's not even worth back and forthing.

AB has been notoriously anti black so her opinion is irrelevant and IF you are stupid enough co-sign it then you are beyond redemption as well.

Really digging the album cover

RENAISSANCE grew on me so I have hopes for this since I loved Texas Hold Em and 16 Carriages

Saw a tweet talking about how Beyoncé's post talked about not feeling welcomed in places and how obvious it was, and then she posted an album cover with her holding the American flag, a country increasingly notorious for not making non Anglo people feel welcomed. Connect the dots.

Edit: Found it 30 seconds later :clown:

The person is a dedicated Beyoncé's hater. He wasn't going want a discussion to start with.

Sasha and 4 look so basic in that collage.

Her hair looks so beautiful on the B'Day cover.

I love how all of her album covers (apart from IASF and ST) incorporate the colour blue.

it's almost like you went into an artist's base thread and started antagonizing them out of nowhere

It would be ideal for her to include Marren Morris who was fighting for her life against the racists and homophobes in country. Also Kacey Musgraves.

People think Bey is only focused on the race aspect, but I also see her focusing on the woman aspect here too. The Chicks went through a LOT of backlash in the US after the Bush comments as we all know. Bey got that energy thrown at her when they performed together during their return to the CMAs too, so it was a breeding ground for racists to be loud, I doubt all those people were against them.

The CMAs however FAILED TERRIBLY.

Whew, the way Act III is gonna make that bottom row so damn iconic.

Not to harp on about her greatness, but the fact the trilogy really is a literal trilogy of albums is so epic. As others have said, so many before (and inevitably after) have tried and abandoned the concept. And to their defense, the politics of the music business and the ever-changing demands of labels, audiences etc, would make that hard for any act.

But Bey doing it and succeeding is such a victory lap for a career like no other.

I'm actually hella glad she's doing now versus in the middle of her rise or Pop peak. It would have slayed then too, but the beauty of now in the context of her career at large is that she already is a legend, so this now is a case of cementing the already cemented and thriving at a time when ageism and complacency knocked out so many of her idols at this stage.

I'm a Jackson fan through and through and don't play the tier game when it comes to Bey and the legends whose careers she stands on, but Bey's present day career is such a joy because it's the equivalent of MJ releasing a Thriller/Bad level project in the 2000s or Janet dropping another Rhythm Nation in the 00s too. Or Whitney having another Bodyguard sized moment in the 2010s. It is pretty much unheard of. For her post-40 albums to be viably be in the convo of being better than her Pop peak efforts is a feat that is so joy-inducing.
