swissman Posted March 19 Posted March 19 (edited) I'm glad she released the cover only now. NOW is the time to stoke the hype. If she had released it three weeks ago so many people who think they know better than Beyoncé and Parkwood were saying she ABSOLUTELY MUST DO, knowing that she's not going to be on a wild promo tour, what would she do now? This is the perfect moment, ten days ahead, to launch the cover. Edited March 19 by swissman 8 2
BnPac Posted March 19 Posted March 19 (edited) It's PERFECT! She's such a purposeful artist. I love the write-up. "I did not feel welcomed, I clearly wasn't"!!! So true. Edited March 19 by BnPac 5
Starshine Posted March 19 Posted March 19 I'm not ready to let Reneigh go, that album saved me during a time of grief. She brought some relief calling it a continuation of Renaissance though, because I do see all of the acts as a Renaissance. 3
ariesgroove Posted March 19 Posted March 19 that creole lady has gagged me once again SHE CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS!!! 1

If it looks that way, then it looks like a kind of tasteful AI generation that we have not seen before in pop covers because it really is not giving AI at all. What it is giving...and where it matches RENAISSANCE's cover is a very static feeling, even if there is a lot of movement. If anything it's very retouched/composited to get everything to be perfect, like the hair for example is surely altered to be just right...as it should be...its an icon, its a cover. Yes! I can appreciate that we're gonna have cohesive covers throughout the whole project, for sure! AI-generated was the wrong word, it does indeed feel VERY retouched/composited. I don't know why they added such a heavy shadow on her hair like that... All in all: I like the aesthetic but the graphic designers could have spend a lil' more time to make it perfect! Nothing bad to say about Bey's vision here! 1
BnPac Posted March 19 Posted March 19 "I hope this is an experience, creating another journey where you can close your eyes, start from the beginning and never stop" Get the message clear, no videos this era either. 4

I am HARD STICKING to the fact that I believe this album covers move and were shot to eventually be in motion or at least appear in motion like a live photo. These were CLEARLY edited with the option to be moved around or fused, but it looks expensive. 1

I feel like I'm getting deja vu because some of y'all were saying the same things about the Renaissance cover, which is now a classique.
Draper. Posted March 19 Posted March 19 We knew about country music from Variety, Amazon Italy and Honey Dijon, but we know absolutely nothing about act iii since the rock thing is purely a fan theory. With everything happening now with act ii I'm super excited about how surprising act iii could be.
Burn Posted March 19 Posted March 19 I love her message. She clearly cares so much about her craft and that's so refreshing to see in today's music landscape. This album is about to be historic yall. 10 DAYS!!! 2

I wonder if this is some allusion to her staking a claim in America/American[Country] music dating back to before there were even states, before the USA even existed as we know it... and by extension Blackness on the Continent dating back to before America was a country too... The colors of the flag are symbolic as well; red symbolizes hardiness and valor, white symbolizes purity and innocence, and blue represents vigilance, perseverance and justice.
OrgVisual Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Such a powerful statement The way she always pushes SOCIAL boundaries with her music. That's what make her music timeless 1
benyonce Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Safe to say I'm stoked with the cover but even more so with that caption. I am ready for her power ballads. I am ready for her 'Rocket/Virgo's Groove' long ass track that will surely gag us. I'm even more excited to see the collaborators than I was, knowing they'll undoubtedly be very purposeful. 2
V$. Posted March 19 Posted March 19 She updated the description of the CDs and vinyls on the store's website!

Rafael Posted March 19 Posted March 19 The fact that she turned that CMA experience into an ALBUM! I was not ready for that caption... it gave a whole new meaning to the album... 9
