Ever since my infamous playlist and the release of these two Songs, im line dancing my way through my life lol It just gives me such a good feeling. Where Rennie made me feel like the ***** I am and can be, this makes me fuzzy and warm and light 1
mrjaldin Posted February 13 Posted February 13 I really think this is a very win-win situation for be. If she gets the music industry on her side then she will successfully validate them accepting the importance of black artists in the development of what we all know as country today. If she doesn’t, then it will be exposed on a global escale how racists the country block is, and their image will look terrible. Moreover, an attitude like this will bring a lot of backlash to country because there’s no reason besides racism for them to not let this album shine as it should. Beyonce never loses ! 1 2
SoJro101 Posted February 13 Posted February 13 (edited) ^^^ THISS During an election year too? Regardless, this is sort of a social experiment. This is awesome - can’t wait to have the broader discussion once all three acts are released and Beys intentions are clear! Edited February 13 by SoJro101
PrettyHurts Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Guys i'm getting so excited at the potential of the Sphere If it's true that acts i and ii are one film, she could really bring the visuals to life in an immersive concert experience unlike anything we've seen before. it's the perfect venue to bring the era to life and to do something unique. she could even premiere the visuals there before the residency begins
mariposa Posted February 13 Posted February 13 someone needs to put TEXAS over this video so it can be its version of that 80s club video AHAP had 1
Lose My Breath Posted February 13 Posted February 13 (edited) Tomorrow will be really interesting to see how Texas holds on spotify Edited February 13 by Lose My Breath 1
family.guy123 Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Country radio will not care it’s an election year be real. If she wants to be played on country radio, she’ll have to play the game like everyone else. Zach Bryan famously doesn’t and so he isn’t.
Mitsouko Posted February 13 Posted February 13 I would have liked her to have more than 1.5 months of pre-orders this time but oh well Wonder if we'll get pose boxes again asdfghjkl

Moreover, an attitude like this will bring a lot of backlash to country because there’s no reason besides racism for them to not let this album shine as it should. Beyonce never loses ! An “expose” of the country music industry would literally make no noise. Go check out the recently played of your local country station, it’s all already out in the open. The backlash would come from…people who don’t even listen to country radio in the first place (hands up if this is you) and won’t have any impact whatsoever. It’s like when those K-pop stans request incessantly for pop stations to play BTS and then cry racism when they don’t - because the requesters are not the actual radio audience. Why would radio programmers listen to people who won’t even tune in? So if you want Beyoncé to be played on country radio, you need to actually listen to country radio. Calling out stations you’ve never even heard of for not playing a one-off (for now) random song by a non-country artist isn’t some gotcha. “Play Beyoncé or else the world will think you’re racist” won’t and shouldn’t work. 1 1 1

holyground13 Posted February 13 Posted February 13 I love the two new songs. I'm so glad that the speculations about act ii being country were true and I can't wait for the full record. I need y'alls help, is @beyonceparkwood on X/Twitter reliable? (sorry I'm not sure if I can embed Twitter). if it is I need to fetch my coins. this is already being talked about from some Dublin fans. I can't see where this account has posted their source so I'm very skeptical. Irish music did have an impact on country music, so maybe that has to do with it?

Please look at who the top artist on country radio for the past 3 years has been. There is absolutely nothing to expose, it’s openly known.
Anvarie Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Is there any benefit whatsoever to NOT having the album preorder available? Am I missing something?

ToraeGilt Posted February 13 Posted February 13 1 hour ago, Kristie Kuwa said: Yeah so far, the rollout was GREAT. We got a relatable, silly Bey in the commercial, and a juxtaposition of very different country Songs, one being the fun, lighthearted jam Texas Hold EM and the other being the introspective, storytelling 16 Carriages. Add to that the availability everywhere right away, the placement on playlists + going for Radio adds.. I mean cmon now, I love to hate on her business decisions (or lackthereof), but this is perfect so far Next up should be a sitdown Interview. I know she hates that, but 1 good one could be very important in "humanizing" Bey even more in the GPs eyes Is this a joke or?

Doubt it's happening. _________ I was thinking the same thing, it's just strange to have a random Dublin live rumour out of nowhere. I realized that I couldn't embed last minute so I forgot to say it in that post - but the rumour is that Beyoncé is doing two shows in June at Dublin's Aviva Stadium, and it's sorta making the rounds here on social media.
Lose My Breath Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Anybody else think Sarah Paulson is in the visuals? I've been thinking that for a while now
Kristie Kuwa Posted February 13 Posted February 13 11 minutes ago, ToraeGilt said: Is this a joke or? Not at all. Country is literally all about relatability - this is not a genre where coming across as entitled or "queen-like" works. It was literally birthed as the genre of the common folk on the countryside, hence Country. Where Rennie worked well with the diva, untouchable image, Rodeo needs to be more grounded. An interview could do wonder, and remember: If you want to shift the genre and live your black Dolly fantasy, you have to also make an effort to be seen as such.
swissman Posted February 13 Posted February 13 23 minutes ago, Anvarie said: Is there any benefit whatsoever to NOT having the album preorder available? Am I missing something? well... since this is a rather new sound for her I do think there is some benefit to letting the fans and the general public get hyped about the project as a whole before she drops the pre-order link (and I assume, the new cover too). the benefit here would be that you have a more active/captive audience for when the link is actually dropped...so more people rushing to pre-order, rather than dropping it right away and only the fans knowing/using it and by the time the locals catch on they'd need to actively FIND the link, since we know Beyoncé is NOT going to go about spamming it. 1

SashaDevachelli Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Playing Smash into You right after 16 carriages, it just feels right. Act ii is going to serve a matured I Am side mixed with Lemonade’s storytelling the utter collapse that’s about to happen 3
