Off-topic, but the Golden Globes the other night was a good reminder why Beyoncé doesn't come outside anymore. What an awful show that was. So much foolishness. And now with all the drama about internet's favorite twink and ms. perpetual victim.

Bey stays clear of this ****. I respect it.

she literally watched will smith slap chris rock what are u talking about

I'm generally pretty pro-Parkwood and tend to see strategy where others don't (aka sometimes less is indeed more and being anti-Pop star is the new "Pop star").

BUT...that K4NTY News exercise was a complete waste of time and happy to see the back of it.

It's one of the few misfires that actually felt like there was some kind of effort behind it. E.g. extending the use of the key dancers etc.

Have said this before, but it could and should have been used so much better. For example, to pre-tease the film trailer drop (e.g. "breaking news...be here tomorrow at 2pm ET for a special reveal from the Queen herself"). It would have trended immediately with all the speculation and excitement.

Instead we got these flat, mono, clips of nothingness that served no purpose in creating hype around the film (beyond Bey's own efforts on IG).

Imma always root for Bey, so I can only hope she and her people finally get a grasp of how to optimally work such mediums to her benefit. The irony being more times than not that simple and where needed literal messaging tends to be the most effective.

There's always Act 2 lol. Or is there.

H*O M*x is the platform I heard it would be on, which is crazy if true. They don’t have the subscriber base and they are in the middle of a merger. But whatever, I’ve already accepted visuals ain’t coming soon whatever platform they land on. Same source said tour announcement coming this week or next, hopefully it’s true. At least we will have that!

I'm so glad KNTY news is over. It was corny as hell and they couldn't even get those dancers proper mics

The tour film is obviously still coming to VOD and streaming, right? Maybe he misspoke when he said the era is over.

Imagine if she never drops the movie anywhere. I can actually see that happening to keep her releases "events"

With or without the visuals, I'm elated this era is over. Absolutely her WORST era to date. Even if she has has the visuals on a flash drive waiting for to uploaded or currently spending her off time reshooting before release, there's no way to save this commercial suicide or any reason to drag it out.

If the coding on her website for fan box set of the film is true, through the reshot visuals in there and call it a day. It's been completely infuriating seeing how her and herself put all of their energy into things that have not panned out in completion or been overhauled for simplicity. Understanding she's been in the game over 20 years, trained for her career over 30 years, have nothing to prove, technically, but this is literally her BEST overall ALBUM.

How could you complete an album, such as this, and the game plan is not to capitalize on the universal theme and push this album as much as she's pushed "Girls (Run The World)" on us for a decade. Matthew has to be sitting in a corner, pulling his teeth out one by one, and I would like to join him.

If her 14 year long knee injury stumble the completion of the visuals, also, nearly understandable, considering how many times the "BREAK MY SOUL" video was shown during the visuals Interlude, put that $#!| out! Maybe could've just took the MJ route and make **** films for the best songs, instead of a full fledged movie while injured (obviously, we just want visuals for all 16 songs).

The KNTY️ bull. . .whose ever idea this was or cosigned the idea, should be fired. As if the budget was spent on the staging and could not have been spread to get someone to edit the audio. I get what they were going for with the videos, the staging during the "America Has A Problem" segment, the new dates announcement- Again, it doesn't make sense since it's solely based on visuals that have not surfaced. Same with the clam segment (which looked more incredible on the renderings and designs).

It's been time to get this era over with because besides the tour, costumes and photos- there's not been anything here since the "I'm That Girl" snippet- in August 2022. The chances for a live album are also likely not to happen at this point, but I have the film off a Tokyo site and will be making my own album 🤣🤣🤣‼️ Since she doesn't feel the need to prove herself, I could honestly go without the the other acts and simply move on to an album not tied to "RENAISSANCE"!

GET UP! The K4NTY era is over... Lord, that was so horrible. It felt like Parkwood was making an effort at promoting with low-budget videos, but obviously they have forgotten how to do it.:gaycat5:

I get the sentiment. I think we're all exhausted and just want to stick in a fork in it and for her to move tf on.

For a few reasons.

As album cycles go, Renaissance - videos or not - would actually be at the end of its run by now anyway.

Then, of course, there's the utter conundrum that has encased the era.

I will say, though, at times I've been fine with the "mystery". Maybe Bey has made me too adept at making lemonade out of the lemons dealt, but there have definitely been frames over the course of the era where the "no video" thing has been...dare...I say...a flex. Even if inadvertent.

Also, I've never been too much of a stan to realize that over the last decade there has always been a stunt or a "thing" needed that has been central to each of her main releases:

* ST = surprise drop, visual album

* Lemonade = marriage woes, loose narrative film

* Rennie = no videos, are there even videos, you are the visual baby

For me, the "no video" thing bizarrely has been pretty crucial to the centralziing of the music and  hasn't been particularly detrimental to my enjoyment of the music, the era, or the tour. It's just been increasingly...confusing. Unnecessarily and exhaustingly so.

I still am fervent in my belief that ish went left behind the scenes and I'm inclined to believe the consistently poured tea about her not liking the end result of the visuals.

The central issue for me has been the duality of my logical stance and my stan stance.

Logically, knowing how Bey's brand works and how the media industry at large operates, it will have never benefitted Bey to spill her tea on there being drama with the videos.

I can't say this enough, we have all collectively bought into, upheld, and cemented her image of superhero-like "perfection". So, while a Taylor Swift or an Ariana Grande can pivot and "admit" to fans that xyz didn't work out, doing that in any way as "Beyonce" chips at the otherworldly wonderment that she as a performer and brand represents.

Add to that the bloodlust to take her down a peg or two (in the absence of any real drama), it will for sure snowball into a "blunder" that "hinders the era" and will be spun as a bigger misstep than it is. It's sadly the nature of the beast for Black performers and, more broadly, anyone whose image is "perfection".

In general. I respect the idea of not putting out something you don't like. Because I'm sure she'd sooner prefer getting dragged for putting out nothing than getting dragged for putting put something she didn't believe in to begin with. It's for sure the lesser evil.

That said...

As a stan, it's hard to watch other artist's fans get fed to no end while we're fed with great music and a great tour, but the rest has been question marks and confusion.

Perhaps most annoying is the reality that, if ish was going left behind the scenes, there are some very cost-effective things that could and should have been done to placate us. For example, imagine the viral songs from the album actually getting a proper radio push and/or digital visualizers (Heated, Alien, etc).

Similarly, imagine a mash-up visual tacked onto the end of the tour film. Perhaps of the scenes she loved most from what she does have in the vault from the video shoots. Almost like a post-credit easter egg. A trippy 5-10 minute montage that bounces from song to song. Hell, even if it was for My House...something...anything.

Anyway...

Moving forward, Imma need the next moves to be very verbatim.

There should be no guess work around what "Act 2" is whenever the next "thing" arrives. If there is or isn't a visual component, then we ought to know from the get go.

I don't need her to spill her plans in totality (as she'll never let go of that surprise ish in totality), but effective communication that helps manage/maintain expectations shouldn't be too much to ask for either.
