Ren is really still as great as it was when it first dropped ugh

And it's the fact that she continues to top herself after so long :clap3::clap3::clap3:

Like is she gonna be in her 60s still dropping projects regarded as her magnum opus??? Its so possible :jonny5:

We really stan for THE BEST!!! :alexz:

And it’s like you can barely listen to one song from the album without wanting to play the whole album. I put Pure/Honey on during my workout and said you know what… let’s get into another full listen

THEE artist of our lifetime me thinks

regarding Thique/AUIYM — I think the only part of that portion that dragged was her transition between the two songs. I guess they didn't want to cut it up weirdly but they could have shown the twins or the crowd and cut back to Bey and she could jump into the song faster. the film transition being longer than the album version is the drag.

otherwise, AUIYM definitely did not get people antsy or leaving here, people clapped after it ended in one of my screenings. it's so intense and beautiful, and the cinematography eats. it's a serve.

Thique doesn't hit live, it's just not the kinda song you want to hear live vocals and instrumentation on tbh. good thing is, she keeps the performance pretty short.

songs she shortens significantly throughout the show (Church Girl, Plastic, Thique, AUIYM, Summer Renaissance) are well-selected.

I really wish she had performed the breakdown near the end of THIQUE, my fave part of the song and the most dynamic part.

I liked the long transition though, it felt sassy.

It's strange because when I attended the tour, by about AHAP I was feeling tired, as excited and eager for it to last forever as I might have been, and in my first showing around this time I was realizing how long it was too, BUT the second showing I saw felt way faster, like I was surprised when SUMMER RENAISSANCE was already on.

The Thique performance getting roasted in here.

The Stockholm version was the best version.

I’ve seen the #1 at the box office headline from multiple TV news outlets. The GP is getting the RIGHT impression

I have finally seen the light on this dress.

I actually really like it.

The reason why I dismissed it before is because.....I don't know.

I stayed 5 minutes after Summer Renaissance cause I couldn’t believe it was over.

So how do you remove a review that says nothing about the film from RT?

Well, if you cut Church Girl, Thique and AUIYM, it’s only 50 minutes.

The way I called out Thique and AUIYM to be cut before the film even came out. :gaycat6:

The thing is, I saw them live, watched every YouTube clip, and I just couldn’t find the excitement.

I felt the same way about Church Girl, but honestly the movie edit featuring all the people singing it at the top of their lungs made me appreciate it more. It is pretty cathartic if you been thru some ****.

I wanted to hear the whole MY HOUSE in theatres but went with the flow of the crowd and then magically right as I exited the theatre doors is when the song ended.

The real problem of the film though is the completely erasure of MetLife Night 2. But I guess that night was so special to her that she wants it to only live in our minds 🤪

Speaking of that review, I re-read it from a super neutral and detached perspective.

The most charitable interpretation I got was that the lady‘s thesis is: Bey is not extreme like me.

  • She’s pro black, but not pro-black ENOUGH
  • She’s pro gay, but not pro gay ENOUGH
  • She’s pro humanity, but not pro humanity ENOUGH

It’s a race to the bottom with these types. They center themselves rather than the people who are struggling because their sense of worth is tied up in how well they can perform grievance.

The damage to these people is done. They have “Twitterbrain”, which often lends itself to self-aggrandizement via politics. And that’s exactly what this is.

It honestly didn't feel like a 3 hour film.

I wish nothing but the worst for that yoncecapital account on Twitter. They are the reason behind all this nonsense.

I remember years ago when they were selling illegal merch and got a C&D from Parkwood and whined about only being 16… that C&D wasn’t enough Bey should’ve taken their ass to court idgaf!

She literally pissed confetti onto the audience, and it was magical to be under.

people clapped along to Summer Renaissance here.

and I feel like there were a solid number of people staying behind for My House at all three screenings. I left while it started on my third, I just wanted to get home lol.

Not sure what this chart means, but my house at #2 seems good

Can someone DM Andrew on Grindr to ask when the film is coming to Blu-ray?
