All of these are ******* LIES :ahh: you don’t even believe this ****

Lyrically not the best but vocally the best and I saw a tiktok of a hundred students screaming the bridge at the top of their lungs like they at a trailer swiffer concert. What vocal stacking was better? What video did she look the best in? I'll wait!

She just needs to get rid of the corny piano on Best Hit 4 Ever Had, replace it with some a cello or lower strings, maybe at the time it gag it down our throats consistently like she does “I Care” and all these tacky baguettes would be praising it.

So when do we admit The Gift is actually the second best album she released? Or are we afraid of the truth?

There's not enough Beyoncé on it to be considered an actual Beyoncé album

The songs that Bey did however kinda eat up her previous projects, dont you agree? Plus its actually 10 (11 if you include the FYWB remix) Beyoncé songs, which can be considered a full album if we're being honest

But she's barely featured on half of those. Idk to me this just feels like a collaborative project that she was a part of. It's hard to properly measure it against her other albums.

Y'all need to cut the bs already

Without disrespecting them for how good they are, no one of her albums from 4 and backwards compare to the grandeur that are the big 3 (ST, Lems and Ren)

And the recent lil cute side projects harbor some of her best songs as well (Summer, Bigger, etc)

Bigger - Bey

FYWB - Bey

Mood4Eva - Bey + Jay (majority Bey)

Water - Bey + Pharell (majority Bey)

BSG - Bey + Wizkid (majority Bey)

Already - Bey + Shatta Wale

Otherside - Bey

My Power - Bey + all the others

Spirit - Bey

Black Parade - Bey

FYWB Remix - Bey

5/11 collabs, 3 of these however predominantly Bey

Yes its her most collab-heavy project, but its still mostly solo Bey on her tracks.

Are we still pretending that The Gift is the greatest thing ever happened? Enough.

That could be only if you were allergic to R&B.

So no, it's a flawed take. Both 4 and B'Day are splendid masterpieces. Even taking DC's catalogue into account, TWOTW as well as Destiny Fulfilled were showcasing Bey's outstanding creativity, artistry and genius at their time.

All of those records are just as exquisite as Renaissance imo.

Bigger + Otherside easily rank among her best ballads ever, FYWB, Water and Already are certified bops, BSG has one of her best messages ever, Black Parade is masterfully executed and crafted and a Grammy-awarded song for a reason (not every song has that), My Power is now iconic thanks to Ms Blue.

I mean, whats there to discredit?

You mean to tell me Start Over can hold a candle against that or the very dated sounding I Miss You?

She has like 10 seconds on Water and a shared chorus at the end, and she's basically a feature on songs like My Power. Not to mention some

of these are really short.

Black Parade is a standalone song that she decided to just plaster on the deluxe edition.

Idk this whole The Gift thing exists in its own separate realm outside of her studio albums for me.

So 7/11 doesnt belongs to ST, Schoolin Life doesnt belong to 4? WDYLM doesnt belongs to IASF?

Inchresting

Plus Black Parade was included because it basically aligned with the Black is King premiere

Gift eats Lemonade for sure, with its 7-8 songs >>>  depressed monotone dialogue

Bigger, Otherside are some of her greatest ballads. Proper ones she hadn’t delivered in quite a while. Already, Water easy slays. FYWB, BSG, easygoing music which are relatable.

We count B’Days 11 songs as an album so why not the gift.

The sis just has a horrible or genius way of naming albums. The best thing about lemonade is it’s title.

All I know is that given the premises alone this project could easily top, but also surpass Lemonade and Black Is King, already two flawless products :deadbanana:

It's going to be worth the wait.

tbh I’d love for her to do her own Medúlla type record where it’s built almost entirely on voice. we know she’s a master w harmony, it would be so exciting to hear how far she could push it

She's the only one in the music industry who's talented and gifted enough to serve such an avant-garde record.

She kinda teased something like this with 8 Days Of Christmas, Get Me Bodied, Run The World, Church Girl, etc.

A collabo with a queen like Björk should be compulsory. Besides, I'd like to hear her implent also some Bulgarian choirs/folk singing :heart2:

Imagine an album consisting of light bops with mid lyrics like FYWB, Already, M4E or Water is better than Lemonade. Let’s not. :deadbanana::deadbanana:

I don't count 7/11 either no, what a stain that would be on ST

Schoolin' Life is different because it was included (alongside other new tracks) in a rearranged tracklist of the album. Black Parade was just plastered as a bonus track at the end.

Have not listened to IASF in full in years to remember what the situation with WDYLM was nor do I care tbh.

But let's say we take The Gift as an EP, I still wouldn't put it above most of her other albums. It's better than Everything In Love though, that's for sure.

Lets not do too much, 6 inch's bridge alone wipes the floor with The Gift. They're so very different I don't really see the need to compare them though.

I'd say lemonade is a better execution of its concept then what The Gift is of its concept.

Bigger and Otherside, great gowns, beautiful gowns. Could never compete with greatness like Resentment, Listen, 1+1, etc.

BSG and My Power are beautiful and meaningful songs though. I'll give you that.

I forgot that Black Parade has won a Grammy :rip:

Luckily 6 Inch was meant for ST, which would have fit in sonically quite beautifully, take that away and one less highlight for Lemon.

Take away Lemons spoken poems, visuals and that critical acclaim would go way down.

But yes Lemon as an overall message gave a bigger punch, people want to hear about drama as opposed to a celebration.

But Bigger and Otherside aren’t dependent on someone else for credibility. Resentment only got popularly when he cheated on her, Listen is a great Vocal but cliche yet effective, 1+1 a pretty love song.

You honestly can’t say BSG and My Power are beautiful and meaningful without including Bigger and Otherside. They’re so universal
