I can’t stop finding tweets to share, sorry

My mind said A immediately but I love B’Day more than DIL and 4. I don’t know if I would be a stan without Kitty Kay and Greenlight :coffee2:

If I could switch The Gift with literally any of the albums on left side I'd take the right without hesitation, but as is I'll have to go with left.

Side B. Mainly cause I stream B’Day, ST, and TG more frequently. Or I would swap TG with 4.

Random complaint #895730691743

I hate how they now open 'the door' on stage during Dangerously In Love and not after it. It was perfect how she did it in full with the sunset clouds behind her, very serene, and THEN open the door to show the band and do Flaws And All.

I don't really mind this, tbh. I did hate it when she started the show in there with the band for that one show, though.

I also think that coat she wears ruins ITG. It looks tacky, she barely moves when she turns around and says “deadass”. I wanna see ASS. She better fix it.. immediately, my show is approaching. :biblio:

This however... it's a national tragedy. we need ASS. the coat ruins the performance until she gets rid of it 30 seconds later, like what even is the point mama?

Huge film for all 3 acts is the worst possible scenario cause it means most of the songs will be like halved and some will be used as transitions only

Give me actual videos or I'd rather it stayed shelved

I hear you, but she has to keep tinkering the "visual album" format for it not to be repetitive. She's done the narrativeless succession of music videos (Self Titled), the loose narrative approach with Lemonade, and the "inspired by" narrative of Black Is King.

A combined visual film for two (or more) albums is a stunt she's not pulled yet and is pretty intriguing, but - like we've all ascertained - would probably mean we won't get full videos for all.

I actually made peace with the likely fact that, unless she really is going robot machine on us again, scaling back would be inevitable. If it's a combined visual, I could see a scenario where she has 4-5 "video-videos" for the Rennie tracks and similar totals for the upcoming Acts.

The songs without full videos could work almost as visual interludes and/or creative avenues to maybe not even be centered on Bey specifically. The minute I saw her thank Syd about her "beautiful part" in the "film", I immediately felt that was the route Bey is going for certain tracks (like POTS). I'm thinking Michael Jackson's Liberian Girl.

4-5 videos per Act essentially will be the same sum of videos from Self Titled and Lemonade but spun in a creative way that still presents as "fresh and new".

She could release the full videos on YouTube

I'd love that, but YouTube really isn't what it used to be for views. On the one hand, it's the easiest access for everyone, but unless you're an Ariana, Taylor, or K-Pop act, the views are a fraction of what they used to be. Not sure I'm ready to see a Bey video stuck at 10 million views while her younger peers (who she unfairly will be compared to) are doing more.

IMO, I can see her continuing what she has been doing. Dropping 1-2 videos on YouTube to sound the alarm that the rest of the visual lives on whatever streaming network she goes with. Kinda how we have Already, Brown Skin Girl. and Mood 4 Eva on YT but nothing else from BIK.

Though this isn't entirely true, considering the taste of straight men, this has always been one of Bey's biggest flexes to me.

Going to a concert surrounded by just the girls and gays, we love to see it.

Having just been to her concert, completely agree!!! The lack of straight men was wonderful.

The concert looked so diverse in the audience. It was really refreshing and wonderful. As a gay man I felt very seen at her concert. And I truly felt surrounded by people of every race, religion, background, etc.

Ive sadly noticed irl non LGBT people did not get why we loved Renaissance so much. Sorry straights; this one was for the girls who get it.

Remember when Renaissance came out and she sampled the Kevins, but then there were uproar about them not knowing in advance or getting paid because they didn’t own their masters?

Well now Kevin Prodigy is the heartbeat of the live show while Kevin Aviance has been hosting unofficial official after-parties after every tour stop. Both have been invited by Bey to attend the tour as well and got interactions with her

even TS isn't racking up YouTube views anymore. English-speaking world mainly uses paid audio streaming for music nowadays, so K-Pop, Indian and Latin music artists dominate YouTube globally. out of her 10 most recent music videos, only three of them managed to get over 100 million views so far. abysmal views when compared to her 1989 era, during YouTube's peak — she had two videos with 3 billion views on that album.

Spoiler

I Can See You (starring Joey King & Taylor Lautner) - 23 million (released a month ago)

Karma ft. Ice Spice - 31 million

Lavender Haze - 42 million

Bejeweled (with Laura Dern, HAIM cameos) - 60 million

Anti-Hero - 152 million

I Bet You Think About Me (starring Miles Teller) - 55 million

All Too Well (10 Minute Version) Short Film - 89 million

willow - 124 million

cardigan - 141 million

The Man - 83 million

You're so brave. Speaking her name thinking you're not gonna get reported... :omg:

OT: Beyoncé loves to say she doesn't care about the numbers so who cares if the videos don't rack up a lot of views. K-Pop is really a world of its own so it's not worth comparing, to me!

It wouldn’t be anything new, it’d just be like how she performs on Spotify in comparison to them. Plus the additional videos would contribute to keeping the album afloat on the charts.

A film is great for stans/big fans but isn’t for the GP that might just want to watch a video or 2.

I want a film, idgaf about the GP. All I ask is the option to quickly access individual videos so if I'm at a pre-game or something I can just click it without having to fast forward through a movie.

It'd be nice if you had the option to play the entire thing from the beginning but also could choose individual songs like episodes. If you choose from the beginning, there's no lull in between asking if you want to play the next episode.

When I tell you I HATE it :biblio: It just doesn’t hit the same with a coat. It looks off to me. When she’s doesn’t have the coat on it’s a moment because she’s giving ASS.

with how grand the visuals do seem + the fact Parkwood recently were still filming at a vogueing event i’m guessing the visuals are for renaissance only, especially since it does not seem like she had time to film ACT 2 and ACT 3 visuals…

also that halloween parkwood tweet and the official teaser plus tour interludes all point to there currently only being rennie visuals in existence

Am I crazy that her music is mixed significantly quieter than other artists? Anytime I'm playing music over speakers and a Bey song post ST comes on, the volume is so much lower. It's every song.

Totally agree

My wish list for hypothetical next steps in order:

Act II > Extending the tour > Live tour album/visual > Renaissance Re-release (full album of remixes including the 3 we already have) > Renaissance visuals

absolutely not lol

what service do you use ? cause when i tried AM for a month when Ren came out i noticed it was a lot quieter than other albums

I use Spotify, too. I'm on Premium and have the audio quality as high as it'll go.  Tried it on AM and it's the same.

This is so true. A lot of my straight girl friends are Beyoncé fans but all say they couldn't get into Renaissance and I'm always like "what do you mean? It's her best album" and they don't get it

Renaissance wasn’t for them period

Also they are used to her r&b/hiphop material

Side A literally has all my favorite Beyoncé albums while side B is mid af sans the Gift. This is a no-brainer for me.
