None of these things seem like that big of a deal though. She's been releasing IVYPARK, and it would seem to be the last of it as they've announced their split. She's selling TOUR MERCH while ON TOUR, and announced a perfume to be released in coming months. It's really not that serious, and all but the perfume are pretty predictable.

I think her perfume is roughly in the same price range of Rihanna’s Fenty perfume. So the price checks out if the quality is there.

Fenty EDP is $20 less and the bottle holds 50% more perfume

that's the thing... we need to know its quality before assessing how shocking and appalled we should be regarding its price.

 

and at this point in Beyoncé career, considering how selective she is about her brand, I highly doubt she's not going to at least try to make it of quality.

I saw so many and thought something interesting had finally happened?
But it’s just so funny how there are all those excuses when it comes to her doing anything for the fans : « something happened » « they are real people living real life » « she has a family now and she’s married now so her priorities have shifted » « she’s not ready, it’ll come when she feels like it » « her foot! » meanwhile the Tifany’s ads are on point and on time. The Ivy Park’s various drops have ads that could be music videos, with direction, budgets and posts everywhere, there are perfumes and haircare lines coming. Actually she’s incredibly busy, just not that invested in music other than touring. 

There is no way that it’s harder to make a whole perfume than sending a song to radio, putting it on some playlists and releasing a video.

But do you not agree that the visuals for RENAISSANCE will have a more lasting impact, wider reach, and serve as more important work both culturally and artistically than any IVYPARK ad, Tiffany promo, or perfume bottle will? The fact that she can multi-task and produce these rather low-stakes things (in the overall scheme of her career) is not surprising. She's always done so. But one thing not mentioned in the list of reasons is "I'm an artist and I'm sensitive about my work". Coming off three visual albums, each better than the last, being a VIRGO at that, I assume there is not only pressure to exceed but a desire to release something of truly great quality. If she feels she has not achieved that, she has every right to delay. If working on other things in the meantime can be done while adjusting the visuals, she can do that too. And as a fan I'm going to assume and support her delay being due to wanting to make the best visuals possible, NOT that she simply is too lazy to work on her own projects, or that she simply wants to keep it from us.

Actually if it’s 1.7 fl oz, it’s exactly the same price as Dominique Ropion. 
Maybe she really came to France, went to Grace and snatched a real « nez » to create this with. 
 

I hope it smells good and she can advance her perfume empire.

 

If she could at least release Heated and AS as well. If she has time for all this side stuff, a single can’t be too complicated.

IVYPARK is her athleisure line but it's not inherently associated to her artistic brand like the RENAISSANCE era is, with which the perfume bottle/marketing follows its visual aesthetic

That being said, having purchased a few IVY PARK items, while some pieces may not LOOK cute (subjective) the quality is there. The stuff I got is well made, sturdy, good material, etc. I would expect those same qualities are in the perfume, whether we think the smell is ugly or not.

Furthermore, Beyoncé started IVY PARK in 2016 and has announced they are going separate ways, so it does in fact seem like she wants to focus on other things than "this ugly ass ivy park drops". In fact, didn't she IMMEDIATELY drop a couture collection with Balmain following the news? Clearly, she's focusing on a certain kind of luxury quality.
