"shipping november 2023"

Picture it : the tour has been over for a month. No new dates. No visuals. Not a word on what and if Act II is still coming. She hasn’t updated her insta in weeks. The last remaining thing to look forward to this year (and this era) is a perfume bottle with the word Renaissance on it getting shipped to her rich celebrity friends. :deadbanana4:

Oh **** off omg. 160 ******* dollars. I told y'all we are just cash cows now

I'm assuming the perfume is not drugstore quality though, if this is the price. If it is, then yes that's super expensive. But most designer fragrances are upwards of $200.

But it seems based on the notes and the design, and the fact that it's coming in this part of her career that she is not trying to make Heat: The Renaissance Edition but something of distinction. imo the drugstore $20 perfumes (that look and smell cheap) are more a cash grab than something that (may or may not) have more thought and artistry behind it.

I have designer fragrances which is why I wouldn't buy one from a pop star.

Idk, you're welcome to like it. I don't.

its a celebrity fragrance for a designer fragrance cost. a bit steep especially since you cant even smell it beforehand.

:rip: It really does feel like everything she and Jay do now is to increase their cache in elite circles.  Even their Oscars party is just to mingle with powerful multi-billionaires and leaders.

hell, they only went to Taylor Swift's birthday party that year to try to get her onboard with TIDAL to which she saw right through and said absolutely not

No one is going to make you buy the perfume.

The fact that it is released is not a detriment to anything.

There is no way Beyoncé said "it can only be the perfume or the visuals; I choose perfume."

I think a lot of us would be happier if we just got excited about what is happening and/or ignore that which does not give us joy, and stop focusing on only what we expect to happen.

Like, my gosh. We've been complaining since the Lemonade era ended.

As a hardcore perfume stan I actually am curious to smell this. It's not my favorite genre of perfume but I'm interested in how she thinks "Renaissance" smells. I get it :celestial5:

As a Beyoncé stan I hope it's a roundly panned commercial misfire, unsold stock landing at discounters' by spring :cm:

She released an Ivy Park collection, an Amazon music merch collection and a perfume in the same month. Yes, I am complaining.

She’s doing The Five Senses of Renaissance.

First we got to hear the album. Now we get to smell it. Then next up will be a collaboration meal with Burger King where we will get to taste it. Seeing it will be last with the visuals. Oh Beyoncé the innovator you are:clap3:

I hope it’s at least somehow quality. Not Dior or those other brands good but way above otherwise that price will make very little sense.

Dominique Ropion’s perfumes are around twice of that price and he is a renown « nez » and you just need to spray his perfume once. I guess the segment for her perfume is the types that would buy Tiffany and her celeb friends. I hope she’s successful with it, her perfume brand used to be very popular. But the ones buying them are certainly not the ones who would buy this.

The fact that it's $160 for 1.7 fl oz too. There are tried and true iconic masterpieces that are less expensive for 2.5 fl oz at least. She couldn't do a 2.5 for the Hive? I can't
