Meanwhile, even TBDT album tracks are receiving higher streams than UMS' album tracks. So, even if UMS is still the fan favorite, TBDT has more crossover appeal for the gp (and it has Girlfriend which gets more daily streams than all 4 UMS singles combined)... It's time for Fall to Pieces to go viral. Any ideas? 1

Fall to Pieces is the album's biggest non-single on Spotify (we will ignore that it was a radio single in like 3 countries). But if a song of hers goes viral, it will be a random track like Sippin' On Sunshine. 3

Anyway, weird that GL actually has better recurrent numbers than UMS, despite being labeled as her first underperformed project. And i couldn't believe that she was so loved by the Gen Z. Time is the ultimate truth teller. 1

But as said before, UMS does have some classic sounding album tracks that could go viral on a future nostalgia trend. May 30 is her concer in NCY, when will we get the Heidi Monta collab?

I mean, people predicted it would peak in Top 5 at the time 1

TBDT is a pop-punk and the second official single is a power-ballad. They should have went with Runaway or even just release Hot before WYG. WYG was still a hit but the whole could have had better peaks if the singles were a little different. 1 1

WYG was still a hit but the whole could have had better peaks if the singles were a little different. GF was released at the end of Feburary while WYG was officially released to US radio in June I remember. But they release the MV like a month before . Anyway, i think it was way around. They took quite long between GF and WYG and it was not the ballad of the album. Even though it might be more radio-friendly, it was too generic and too safe. Inoncence seems to be a better ballad, although it would be a risker choice. I don't think releasing Hot as the second single would be a good choice. Hot received negative reactions among fans when it was announced as the third single. People didn't like it at the time. I think either Runaway or Innocence was other options for the second single. 1
greeneyedsoul Posted February 20 Author Posted February 20 TBDT had four official singles and one soundtrack single that was later added to the album. For such an upbeat record, the single rollout was oddly balancedl, three fast-paced tracks and two power ballads. That's a lot of ballads for an album that only had one more on the standard edition. I guess Girlfriend was such a massive hit that her team didn't really know what to do next. The first issue was both the timing and choice of the second single. They waited months after Girlfriend's release, only to drop a ballad… in the middle of summer. Meanwhile, they had Runaway, Contagious, and Hot sitting right there. Sure, fans weren't huge on Hot at the time, but the general public still had to discover it. A second single should've been another upbeat, pop-friendly track to keep the momentum going. Then, a third single in late fall/winter could've been a ballad, either When You're Gone or even Innocence. (Keep Holding On) → Girlfriend → upbeat → ballad → upbeat If they had gone with a faster song as the second single, Girlfriend's momentum could've carried over, giving the album an even stronger push. TBDT was still a huge success, but a better single rollout might have extended the era, boosted single sales, and maybe even justified a deluxe or re-release with an extra song as a final single. Of course, a lot of fans didn't like TBDT anyway, thinking it was a downgrade from her first two albums. But even then, releasing all ballads wouldn't have ''cleaned up'' the album's image. A Keep Holding On → Girlfriend → When You're Gone → Innocence → I Will Be singles run would've been even worse than what we got. 2
greeneyedsoul Posted February 20 Author Posted February 20 Give You What You Like's yearly YouTube gains: Year Views 2015 ~24,000,000 2016 ~7,400,000 2017 ~4,400,000 2018 ~1,100,000 2025 ~13,000 Is she back with Sony and they unblocked the song? 2

It refused to die on radio when RCA abandoned the song for it to die so that they can release GF. Runaway and Innocence were the best options for the second singles beside WYG. I love Contagious very much and it's a nice album track but i don't think it's a single material. I could've been GF - WYG (released immediately after the album was dropped just like Shut Up and Drive) - Runaway in July - Innocence in September and finally TBDT in early 2008. The waited too long before the singles too honest. They officially released WYG in June and Hot in the end of September/Octorber...? Rihanna released her single 2 months after Avril but by the end of 2007 she had already had 4 singles? 1

She had the biggest song of 2007 and the 5th best selling album and yet the budget run out by the third single. Both videos were fun but had a minimal budget. 3 more months until her single with Heidi is out?

Anyway, u sure that the song with Heidi will be the single?
