MGK is not a bigger touring force than Avril is in the US. I can't name one person I know who likes MGK. He has a niche fanbase, but he's largely seen as a joke artist by the GP. Ramona could've sold out an intimate-venue solo tour in the US, with a decent showing at Madison Square Garden and the LA Forum. Some Avrilizers over at Bandaids have been staying that she'll do a small US tour after the EU tour next year. But that's in no way possible, because there'll be no point to it. I'm not the one who thinks she should open for MGK tho. Nobody actually gets the point

It’s their fault for pushing it. I don’t feel sorry for them at all. They didn’t study Avril’s past eras before planning the rollout for Love Sux and it shows. Shall I make a list? Hopefully someone on DTA will see this. Or maybe someone could email them, idk. Mistake #1 - releasing Bite Me right before a Taylor Swift album bomb. Half of Avril’s fans stan Taylor Swift as well. That’s why Bite Me’s Friday numbers were a bit meh. Mistake #2 - releasing Bite Me on a Wednesday. Why? So it can go #1 or iTunes? It didn’t even go #1 on iTunes if I’m not mistaken. The song would’ve charted if they had released it the previous Friday. Mistake #3 - not releasing the album preorders with Bite Me. Love Sux could’ve had 3.5 months of preorders (even more cassettes!) instead of 5 weeks. Mistake #4 - releasing Bite Me too close to Christmas. The song didn’t have enough time to stabilize on streaming. Mistake #5 - 3.5 months between Bite Me and Love Sux. Were they counting on Bite Me exploding on Alternative (hence the 3.5 months window) when her singles have always been front-loaded because she’s a fan base-driven album artist? Plus Alternative’s audience is miniscule. Bite Me performed better than certain songs that went top 10 on that format around the same time. Mistake #6 - the Bite Me TikTok. It was a disappointment after she had set the bar so high with Sk8er Boi’s. The cinematography is DEPLORABLE and you can tell it was an afterthought. A clip from the music video (with the second chorus instead since it’s less jarring) would’ve been 100x better. Mistake #7 - the Bite Me acoustic music video. Ugly outfit, meh cinematography, ZERO replay value. It should’ve been a TikTok. Mistake #8 - LIWYHM as a single. It was tempting, I get it, but the song fell behind Bite Me on Spotify after like 2 weeks. Plus none of her collabs have ever done well in the long run. Mistake #9 - the LIWYHM TikTok. Mistake #10 - the Bois Lie TikTok. It wasn’t much better than LIWYHM’s, but fans were trashing her in the comments for collabing with MGK and comments are good for the algorithm so she should’ve kept it. Mistake #11 - pushing LIWYHM with live performances after the album came out while pushing Bois Lie on streaming. It was unfocused and LIWYHM was a month old by that point and it wasn’t doing well anywhere except on Pop radio. Mistake #12 - LIWYHM’s music video. She honestly could’ve ended the era with the album. Mistake #13 - not posting her engagement video on TikTok. Kiss Me Like The World is Ending got a boost on Spotify after she posted it on Instagram. Mistake #14 - not using TikTok more. Some beauty shots with Love Sux album tracks (Love Sux, FU, Avalanche specifically) could’ve done wonders. Mistake #15 - releasing Love Sux when Putin invaded Ukraine. Sure, DTA couldn’t have predicted that, but why the hell did they pick the last Friday before the European tour to release the album??? - - - - - - - - - - In the long run Love Sux will surpass Head Above Water (it’s already 41% there and should cross 60% by the end of the year), but that’s thanks to the fans and to the quality of the album, not cause DTA handled it well. I hope DTA learned something and that next time we’ll get the album all at once with a music video. There’s no point in wasting hype by releasing singles before the album since she’s beyond done singles-wise.

They are so wrong to choose to promote Love It and Bois Lie which are one of the worst songs on the album. And they choose to promo it on television instead of good playlisting was definitely a big mistake.

It wasn’t a disaster, far from it, but DTA made a ton of mistakes Mistake #16 - promoting the singles / album with live performances while neglecting streaming. It’s 2021/2.

She's been booking for many live concerts which bring her some money.

Some points: 1) She had no choice but to release Bite Me during the time of RED TV, 30, and the Xmas deluge because she didn't sign to DTA until maybe late October, and they had to release the lead ASAP. Plus, Idk one Swiftie that actually cares about Ramona. 2) Apparently, DTA are very old-school, and rely mostly on TV promo and radio airplay. They know **** about streaming and playlisting. 3) All the collabs on the album were unnecessary, especially the bear one. Her team thought they could pull off something like My Crazy Best Friend's Ex or Monsters, but Ramona is known not to be a collabs artist. 4) She SUCKS at using TikTok. Let's face it, the only TikToks that the GP cares about from her are the throwback ones attached to her legacy. 5) I'm pretty sure she knew well in advance that the European tour was gonna delayed again. Otherwise, her team wouldn't have been dead-set on still releasing the album in late February. Regarding the Russian invasion, that was just bad timing. There would've been no better time to release the album, because both January/early February and all of March were crowded with highly anticipated releases (Abel in Jan and Rosalia in Mar). - - - - - - - - - - - In the short run, both Bite Me and LS flopped. In the long run tho, we can rejoice that both Bite Me and LS will serve longevity (Bite Me will outstream HAW (the song), and LS outdid and will outstream HAW (the album)).
