MLL would be so much better without her and Angelos convos tbh…:rip:

I understand why she decided to put it in but I really don’t need to be hearing conversations with her child in a song :chick1:

Lol that's the the whole point of the song! I mean it's a vibe otherwise but c'mon it had to be included.

I listened to 30 and Renaissance on shuffle from my AM playlist the last two days and 30 was kind of punching Renaissance. It sounds like an album crafted for the Grammys. Maybe it's because we're going into the cooler months but I connected to the songs more. Don't get me wrong, there are lows (Uptempo songs and the overrated I Drink Wine) while Renaissance doesn't have any super lows but suffers from lack of variety that Plastic On the Sofa and Virgo Groove can't cut through. But when 30 punches, it punches: My Little Love, Strangers By Nature, Woman Like Me (This one starts off like wtf is this but by the 2nd chorus you're egging Adele on to talk her mess), WWW (I love the sound of this sonically, she should explore this more), EOM. Strangely, the album has more variety than I initially thought, moreso with the inclusion of the bonus Wild Wild West. Maybe she should have allowed Spotify to shuffle the album to break up the initial slow-pacing. I don't think most people got pass I Drink Wine before they drifted off to something else. You know most streamers have the mind of a fly. But that's just my opinion.

You're right that in today's streaming world you only have so little time to catch listeners attention. The internet and p*rn have fried people's brains, lol. Most songs on 30 are slow burners in a way.

And to me the problem with Renaissance is that many songs have samples in them, just like in Lemonade. Like how can you even compare that to someone who writes all original songs, except All Night Parking.

AGREED. It is still my favorite to this day. I have a very personal connection with it.

Same here. I was obsessed with Cold Shoulder days ago.

MTE. That's the whole point of the song and it is what makes you feel really connected to what Adele was going through at the time of recording.

The internet sure has; what's right is wrong, what's wrong is right. It's an album that you don't play often but it is good to own when you're in your feels and need nourishment like a good word or sermon. Inspirational/self-reflective songs just seem corny to today's generation who has a self-destructive, masquerade, deal-with-it-later type of existence.

I think that is going to be Beyonce's biggest issue at the Grammys.

I think you can tell something about a person based on how they react to Adele's music. Those of us who stan her tend to be more romantic usually, and those who don't might be looking for a quick f*ck rather, lol. And maybe that's why OMG and CIGI haven't clicked with the GP so much because they are that kinda hookup songs. From Adele it doesn't sound so natural. To Be Loved instead is exactly her essence. That's like the ultimate Adele song even if it's not easy to listen to often.

I just realized that Adele is the only AOTY Grammy contender that hasn't pushed any single since January  :toofunny2:

Even Silk Sonic is still sending flop singles to radio  :deadbanana2: But Adele nothing :skull:

I agree. I also think it didn't connect with more people because the songs are extremely personal. I think if they were more relationship oriented and less self-reflective/inspirational people would relate to them more. Here, it's like you have to put yourself in her shoes instead of the other way around like her previous albums.

I was not in support of OMG as a single but I'm still baffled that it bomb at radio given what was played.

My mom doesn't know much English but she loves the melodies in Adele's songs and her voice ofc. That's her biggest asset as an artist tbh.

I really want that Deuxmoi rumor to be true tho. I'd love to hear something new at this point. It's been almost a year.

Also random, but I don't think anyone else could have Can I Get It and To Be Loved on the same album, lol. It's funny to listen to them back to back. TBL is like :gaycat6: and CIGI is like:gaycat1:

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra covered Skyfall for their Bond 25 tribute album. ImpacT :clap3: They covered all the Bond themes though, I think

Things are starting to get exciting! I've no doubts she's going to make the show completely flawless this time around.

She learned a really tough lesson the last time around.
