Poor Gayle...timing messed things up. I think they discounted her song 1 week too early as people expected Dua and Meg to perform much stronger

Why would anyone expect that? Megan 's releases have all been major flops since WAP left AGES ago, and Dua... well... she doesn't typically start strong out the gate and relies on radio longevity for the most part anyway. Neither has much of a devoted fanbase (in the US at least), clearly.

Body & Thot **** were pretty big hits lol, she just doesnt make music with crossover appeal

Maybe it stuck around, but it didn't have a strong start and only peaked at 16, which... doesn't signal that she'd be debuting with big numbers on a collaboration with an artist who, again, needs radio longevity.

No female rapper other than Cardi and Nicki are debuting higher with their songs. Meghan doesn't get pop radio play, doesn't get heavy playlisting and her songs are RAP. So her success is really kind of mind-blowing actually. She's driving modern day Remy Ma and still snatching plaques like the RIAA is her dentist

Something about album releases usually pushes a song to it's PEAK and with airplay being higher than ever, I'd be SHOCKED if this doesn't hit #1, plus an entire remix is coming  the MELTDOWNS when she snatches a solo #1 before Meg, Doja, Saweetie

He got the Wheelie feature. She'd be a damn fool to put him on this one too  And even if the remix drops it might not be enough points to overtake the original...but will give it JUST enough boost to take it to the top. Airplay is INSANE for this song. Never thought a rap girl without a previous smash could go so far on AMERICAN POP RADIO. Nicki had Starships, Iggy had Fancy, Cardi had I Like It  and now Latto has Big Energy. I think Work It went #1 on pop radio. I could be wrong though. Lemme do some googling.
