It deserves much mor than Binding Blind but i think streaming helps alot and it's not fair to songs in digital eras where the sales fell faster or the album eras where people don't give a **** about single success.

This is the last week for Big Energy on Bubbling Under. Either Lil Baby knocks it off, or it reaches 52 weeks. If Running Up That Hill falls off, we will only have one song left on the Bubbling Under.

BUBBLING UNDER:

#46 Latto - "Big Energy" - 51 weeks
#14 Morgan Wallen - "Wasted On You" - 48 weeks
#45 Kate Bush - "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)" - 40 weeks

Talent lost this week.

Heat Waves was trash in 2021, and it's still trash now. Disgusting that Blinding Lights lost the record.

Is it time to stop caring about charts? What will ATRLers do with their lives from now on? Lol.

(I agree though, absolutely.)

Agreed! This chart has been a joke ever since they let album cuts all over it. But back in the 90s, songs like torn, iris, don’t speak, uninvited and many of Alanis songs, the wallflowers whole album, and so on, couldn’t chart bc they werent physically released. How can you let a whole lil baby album chart and not let a song that is played on the radio every hour do so? And now to top it, they add radio on there hardcore..which makes no sense considering they let album cuts chart that aren’t even singles. It needs to either be based on what is popular that week and by that, not what radio thinks is. Or it needs to be discontinued. Imo, if a song is played on radio it’s a hit. That’s what people are going to know because that’s what you hear everyone you go. So, I don’t think that’s a bad thing. But I don’t agree that if they do that to let album cuts keep charting and to allow records to be broke. They also need to quit playing songs for so damn long. I get there’s not as much talent these days. But back pre 2010s, we had songs that would spend 20 weeks or less constantly and they were huge. It gave more artists a chance to shine. So even if they have to bring back old songs like they been doing. They should start doing that and have radio switch songs more often.

I think Morgan will pass the 52 weeks

Here's a bold prediction: Wasted on You will finish with more weeks than As It Was. If Drake doesn't push back his album again, WoY will get lucky with the timing and should move back into the Top 25 in Week 53. If it can get a boost post-Christmas, I can see it getting 60+ weeks on the Hot 100 like I Hope.

As for AIW, it's beginning to slip, especially in radio, in recent weeks. We have begun to see major artists releasing albums in recent weeks. I think that trend continues into 2023. I don't see AIW making it far past 52 weeks, especially if a major artist like Rihanna drops in AIW's 53rd week. As things continue to normalize post-pandemic, I think 2023 will see more major album releases, and thus less longevity of songs a la 2016/2018.

This is the last week for Wasted On You on the Bubbling Under. Joining it this week is the Halloween classic Monster Mash. With Drake's album, it's highly unlikely we will get a Christmas song other than AIWFCIY, so we could end up with an empty nest.

BUBBLING UNDER:

#22 Morgan Wallen - "Wasted On You" - 51 weeks

#47 Bobby "Boris" Pickett and The Crypt-Kickers - Monster Mash - 39 weeks
