GreatestLoveofAll
100 million on radio, biggest radio smash since BL i remember reading some forbes article talking about how this wont serve longevity cause even its airplay wasn't as record-breaking as its debut showed. Fast forward three months, i think she's doing just fine. She's recovered a bit in streaming and still has enough of a lead on pop airplay (and overall) to warrant a 10th week at #1 too simply legendary. Trent W
The fact that EOM has a shot at surpassing Hello as a #1 And people called this a frontloaded underperformance Tbh I have played it longer than I did hello because it’s less gimmicky. So I understand the appeal for this passive classic. Edited January 18, 2022 by Trent W

I mean its looking likely that it gets more weeks at #1, but its also looking very likely that it wont get close to the same certification (if they ever update Hello, but also the current 7x platinum will probably take a few years)

Hello is still a 8/10 even on a poor day ofc, but EOM has much more replay value due to it being less loud/big. So ppl are right when they say its not as world-dominating as Hello was, but that was the point of the song according to Adele herself in a way. She failed at that clearly, but the attempt was there. Question - were Swifties hating on radio as much during 1989 and Reputation? Because there’s no reason why suddenly Radio is a bad thing when it’s always been a major component. And the transparency of Swifties magically caring about this Disney OST not being #1 because of radio. Doesn’t it get tired at some point?
