"I'm just glad she's not touching Britney's pure album sales record"

I'm sorry but I don't see what "record" you are talking about here :skull:

That record was broken (1.3M sold in first week) by Adele in 2015 with 25.

25 was an EVENT last decade, but it isn’t 2015 anymore.

Anyway, Adele is doing great and she will have the best selling album of 2021 as her previous releases.

Deal with it.

Adele could sell 10k copies of her next album and it wouldn't change the fact that 21 is bigger than anything Taylor has ever done in her career. Sit down, be humble.

And?

Peak and career are 2 very different things

Then instead of spamming the same mad posts, just say it clearly? :ahh:

I’m not about to read through this entire thread to see, but I hope people aren’t trying to ‘drag’ Adele for these numbers when they’re amazing? ANY ARTIST getting these numbers in this day and age is incredible and the fact Adele vanishes in between album cycles and still has this much demand for her music is insane.

It’s okay if you don’t like her music, but let’s not start being petty for the sake of it. These numbers are great. End of.

I'm thinking the predictions will rise when HDD updates the numbers today.

So they are predicting 675k pure sales and only 158k of SEA and TEA? C'mon, she will for sure pull 200k of that.

They're being conservative on purpose, to give a " big surprise" on Friday  that Adele numbers are higher than estimated.

They ALWAYS do that (they did that last week for Red TV)

RedTV holding great :jonny:

Hits Daily Double does not intentionally lowball any album, and has in fact decreased projections before. That their current estimate for 30 did not significantly change (833k is nearly in the middle of the 800k to 850k range) should give you a clear sign of how things are going. Take that as you will.

They've done it many times in the past. Especially with streaming: they're usually super conservative with SEA, even when the numbers point to it being higher than what they are estimating.

675k pure is actually insanity.

No :rip:

RED's estimate's grew throughout the week and were only off by less than 10k copies from Billboard while 30 has stayed within the first prediction 800k - 850k. Why would HITS shaft their own credibility for making predictions by undereporting her numbers?

They were estimating 500K pure sales yesterday, now the number is 675K...
