Given that SK feels like the one with most potential in Asia, it'd be a huge loss for the whole continent. 

Not if they make a good agreement. Even if spotify dominated the market they would still be making good money from them and while their own app could definitely lose market share, this could also increase the total market size considerably.

There is Spotify in Japan and Vietnam

China won't allow it in the near futute

Halsey only Known because of one song with BTS which was massive and Anne Marie had the biggest single by a western female which went viral for some reason so thats the reason for their high streams. Shakira and Sia are still bigger household names.

Exactly. The might lose a good portion of the local market but their acts flooding the Top50 will certainly attract tons of new people to stream their music.
