The album is super eclectic though so I'm sure there's at least one or two saves on it for you. Yeah she’s not my cup of tea I tried the first 3 tracks and didn’t like them tbh. The verses of XS hit though!

TalkThatRihanna Posted December 31, 2020 Posted December 31, 2020 Rain On Me not #1 But Top 3 is amazing regardless A classique! You Should Be Sad is #1 as it should Save Your Tears better be on the throne with her sis
Reverse Warholian Posted January 1, 2021 Author Posted January 1, 2021 (edited) #1. 'You should be sad', Halsey If you do not believe in ASHLEY FRANGIPANE supremacy then turn your mother EFFING cameras off now! @Walk_Away21 @Lady Bird I was NOT expecting bald bitch to veer off into this territory and found myself a little perplexed on first listen, but after a couple days I was both HOOKED and shook to my core at this country-pop excellence! I will never not be impressed by her chameleon-like tendency to turn out a decent song in just about any pop subgenre she desires to explore and changes it up as if she were trying on different wigs That huge wall of sound that kicks in after the 2nd chorus The ****ing music video The way certain lyrics just TEABAG you in the face without warning, WHEW! @Slate Weekly writes: It's no secret the New York Times best seller made several points with this song. I love how moody and aggressive it is. It's very "woman scorned" but with a nice emo twist. It also feels very energetic despite the almost unnoticeable lack of percussion and occasional structural oddities which are both sort of a common sonic theme on its parent album. Like this bitch deadass made a country-pop song the focus single during her album release week. My little stan heart couldn't comprehend some of she + her team's decision making that went on at the time but it kinda all came together for her in the end, lmfao. I used to think the general perception of the "about-face" saleswoman here was mixed to negative, but I found out she has A LOT of undercover stans - at least in this Best Of section so it's honestly been a delight to see both Manic and YSBS appearing on your countdowns. Also #1. 'Save Your Tears', The Weeknd My most listened to song of 2020 according to Spotify - and for good reason. It's been lab tested and proven scientifically this is EVEN BETTER than 'Blinding Lights' (and anything from Present Payola, although that's a conversation most of you are not ready to have). Might be a Top 5 in his discography as well. There's just something so satisfying about this. It's like the infinitely superior cousin of Posty's 'Circles' and I will request thread-bans and possibly WPs for any user who disagrees with me For starters, the vocal melodies are DIVINE Those warm moody synths that envelope the song sounding at once, paradoxically, very happy and melancholic The THWACKING electronic percussion and wonderful use of vocoders The production just sounds so dreamy but also expensive lol. I think good songwriting = showing and very rarely telling. SYT and most of AH in that regard is like an '80s fever dream that doesn't try to bash you over the head with its references or spell out what it's trying to achieve unlike a certain artist's good but overacclaimed album that painfully outlines its thesis in the opening titular track and you should be thankful 'Blinding Lights' cannibalized each successive AH single in case this came along and blocked your favs from having even a morsel of success this year although with the Superbowl card in play there's still time for that to happen Edited January 1, 2021 by ReverseWarholian
