Played (streaming) still does not equal to listened to.

and ipointed ou that both were flawed.  However  one Kong thet is not flawed is AI. Statistics are a very powerful thing for ise thet understand them. unfortunwtelh, most people hate stats more than math.

my issue still remains the blind undying adoration for streaming accuracy, when it holds many of the same faults as radio. Yet they ignore the stressing issues and rip apart the radio issues, simply because they stream rather than listen to the radio.  It's nothing but complete bias.

That is flat out wrong because at issue is the fact that one can't actually verify radio down to the single listener and what they listened to and if they actually heard it or not. Only the latter of these things that streaming can't give you which nothing can give you is if a person heard a song or not. However, the rest streaming can provide. That's not bias. That's fact. Stats like polls and call-outs are inaccurate compared to streaming. With streaming you don't need to ask people if they are burned because it's an irrelevant question. You don't need to ask a person if they like a song or how much they like a song because you can just look at their listening history. The fact that you can trace streaming to a user account is still more accurate than taking wild guesses at number of listeners for a record based on the size of the metro area the record is played in.

It is fair to say that some information is more accurate than other information. It's a perfectly valid argument to say that streaming data is more accurate than radio data. Even Spotify can't force people to listen to their playlists in full or in part. However radio is subject to payolla and radio deals that aren't based on any user activity at all just a label writing a check. Radio is limited either by the label or by themselves on what they can play on the radio. Streaming has no such limitations. If the song is available to be streamed it can be streamed.

I'd probably argue that streaming is counted to low. There is no way to track how many people are hearing the song at a single time. What we can reasonably assume is that if you user opened up their computing device and logged in and started streaming they probably played it and there is so little likelyhood that you could fudge the numbers in any significant way makes Streaming need to be weighted much more heavily compared to Radio airplay than it is right now.

A possible 3 way battle for #1 next week between Kendrick, Ed, and Bruno. When is the last time we got 3 way battle like this?

Wait, Bruno WON again :jonny:

We'll see, what truly happens to That's What I Like by Bruno Mars in the near future... He might win, but I'm not that sure, do you know?

These forecasts, which were by users of PulseMusicBoard, weren't that right previously (yay, our lovely forum, titled ATRL wins), so you know it yourself, that we can expect everything until the whole @simmnfierzig's early predictions...

Shape of You has #1 song of 2017 on lock. Still getting 500 points a week.

I'm here for HUMBLE. to hold on for one more week, afterwards Bruno can snatch (Mask Off says hi)

And Problem is the only one that failed to go #1. Is That's What I Like gonna be the "Problem" of 2017? Hopefully not

I think its between Bruno and Kendrick

Bruno - still gaining 2 million audience+ on Radio, gaining a bit in sales, stable streaming

Kendrick - dips in streaming (but still way ahead) & sales, gains million audience daily

Ed - peaked on radio (but still way ahead), peaked in sales, steady streaming

Bruno = radio gains

Kendrick = streaming leveling out

Ed = depends how radio drops it...

The three of them are too close right now. Missing one component anything can happen even SOY can come back to number one. We shall wait and see
