The shoehorned stats and not understanding how curated playlists work during the holiday season when we have literal streaming stats that line up exactly with when the Spotify curated holiday playlists become heavily used in December.:ahh:

Idk I guess the Spotify increase, new formula with radio points, and she’s starting to appear on the low end of the other streaming charts.

I guess people must be playing those December "curated playlists" earlier this year. ( and last) 

 

Interestingly Mariah has been added to a few more huge playlists.

Uh, yes, they become more popular the closer we get to Xmas. Hence why Mariah heavily leads before then and continues to on every other platform. It’s not rocket science.

She is the top song on two very popular, curated Classic Christmas playlists that Mariah isn’t on (because her song is relatively newer). People and stores start playing those playlists more frequently closer to Xmas and it helps Brenda take over around this time - that’s why she still lags behind by a big margin on every other streaming platform.

Mariah is now a full 80 k streams behind on Spotify a full 5 weeks before Christmas despite having twice the reach of Brenda.

No lol, that is a lie lambs are trying to push. Mariah currently has a reach of around 70 million, Brenda has 30 million. AIWFCIY is by far the most playlisted Christmas song.

Mariah’s song is much bigger globally and those playlists reflect the massive amount of user-created playlists WW. 
 

Brenda receives an advantage from the most popular Spotify-created Xmas playlists. 

 

But I’d love to know your thoughts on why Brenda has only ever led on US Spotify and always as a slow burn takeover!
