Sure, you can thumbs up and down a song, but some people just don't bother thumbing down the country songs they don't like. I keep getting random country hits on my "electropop" station, just because it has a female vocalist, heavy bass or whatever Really? I've never used Pandora. Seems flawed, but yeah I wouldn't thumbs down too many songs if I wasn't paying too much attention to it.

How am I supposed to figure out the new formula and the Pandora numbers in the same week Don't think I can post any predictions today. Well we just need to try to get them to publish #s. That would be so huge
roman19911 Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Hopefully LOTB can go closer to top 10 next week

Harranger Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 (edited) "Capping the Hot 100's top 10, Alessia Cara collects her second top 10, as "Scars to Your Beautiful" lifts 13-10. "Scars" keeps at No. 2 on Radio Songs (128 million, down 1 percent) and No. 25 on Digital Song Sales (22,000, down 11 percent) and bounds 37-25 on Streaming Songs (12.6 million)." Oh my god. I'm so happy for her!!!! And yaaaaassss at Camila's second Top 5 hit. Edited January 30, 2017 by Fentydelspears
Thuggin Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Side To Side isn't even top 100 on Pandora so I hate this inclusion lol. But honestly, I don't really see how it reflects what songs are popular.
alexanderao Posted January 30, 2017 Author Posted January 30, 2017 Just got confirmation from someone who works at Next Big Sound that they don't plan to release exact numbers. I'm disappointed. But maybe we can try to push them constantly about it.
Planet Mars Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Closer needs to die, like yesterday. Terribly overrated and annoying song.
Bentley Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Congrats to Camila! Another top 5 hit under her belt!
Jaf207 Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Does this formula change make streaming more or less important?

I mean why use Tidal with ~1M subscribers but not Pandora with so much more subscribers.

Maybe this is the global chart? This is showing Paris with ~3 million (#19) and Dancing On My Own "just under" 1.5m at #47. Perhaps with more little tidbits can figure out some average for p/ds.
